Favorites Cards from 2015 That I Created

Hello friends. How is everyone doing?  Each year I try to choose a few of my favorites to highlight for the year.  It is always hard; as each one has a special meaning to me.  I have chosen 16 cards.  I tried to narrow it down to 10; but I couldn't cut any of these.  LOL!

I am very excited to announce that I was chosen to be part of Art By Miran Facebook Group DT!  I officially started as of January 1st; so you will continue to see a lot of her digis. I would love to see all of you join our fabulous Facebook group (if you haven't already) and enter the monthly Progressive Challenge.  You earn the free digi each month; after the first month; as long as you continue to create with it and enter every month.

I own most of Art By Miran digis and most of Art By Miran Whimsy Rubber stamps. Mi Ran Jung creates so many fabulous new digis and Whimsy rubber stamps; that it is hard for me to create with all of them; as quickly as I buy them.  I never seem to have enough time to use them all.  I am a collector of digi and Whimsy rubber stamps.  I just need more time to create with them.  Life seems to get in the way of my creativity!  LOL!

As you can probably tell from my cards below; my other favorite artists are; Ching-Chou Kuik and Aurora Wings.  I also used a lot of Digi Stamps 4 Joy in 2015; as I was on their DT.  I tend towards the fabulous girl digis and some of the cutesie animal ones. LOL!

Sweet Pea closed their shop as did DeeDees Digis; so I didn't display any of those.  I also enjoy The Paper Shelter  and Lacy Sunshine; which I collect as well.  I don't have enough time to use them either.  I try to support my favorite artists by purchasing their new digis monthly or some of them daily. LOL!

I made several Imagine That Digis by Kris Christmas cards; which you can  Click here for Owl With Robin post 1 and click here for Owl With Robin post 2; click here for Christmas sled and click here for Happy Howlidays I used all the precolored digis. They are absolutely adorable; but I couldn't list all of them.  I did list the Ice Cream Palour; as it was one of my very favorites.  Be sure to check out Kris's digi collections. They are all fabulous.  I own many of them; as she is one of my favorite artists.

I love Conie Fong's digis as well.  I used her digis when she was part of Sweet Pea and now she has her own Conie Fong Facebook group and is starting her Etsy shop soon; so she can sell her wonderful digis.  Be sure to check out her new Facebook group as well.

I hope you enjoy my favorite creations from 2015.  I am excited for a fabulous 2016; and lots of new cards.  I appreciate all of your wonderful comments and support for the past almost 4 yrs.  I am looking forward to meeting more of you as you start your journey or expand your journey in Blogland.   Happy New Year 2016!

Sketches by Carly With The Paper Shelter

Hello to all my fellow crafters and followers!   Most of you already know I am a Guest Designer for the summer with Sketches by Carly.  I have been having so much fun!  I had never used a digital stamp until I became a guest designer.  I didn't realize what I was missing until I joined their team.  I have been playing with digital stamps from The Paper Shelter this past weekend; who is also the sponsor for Sketches By Carly for the next two weeks.  We are given a wonderful opportunity to choose our favorite sketch by Carly to create our cards this week.  I have chosen Sketch 57; which is one of my favorites.

Carly is a very talented 13 yr. old that creates wonderful card sketches every two weeks for us card lovers to use.  Be sure to check out Sketches by Carly and enter to win fabulous prizes!!

I decided to create two cards using the same already colored Digi stamp from The Paper Shelter titled "Gyspy Dance".  The first one is reduced to a 3 x 3 size.  The second one is using the colored Digi Stamp at the original size; which is a 6 x 6 size.  I wasn't sure how it would look; but I think I prefer the larger one.  The colored background is teal; but for some reason my camera made it blue.  There are several different files with each one of the digi stamps with so many choices.  You can choose one and color yourself if you would prefer to do that.

Birthday Card Using The Paper Shelter Digi Stamp, Sketches By Carly and Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

Hi you wonderful followers and readers!  I am so excited as I just created my first card using a digi stamp!!! I know I am really behind the times; but I was having trouble with coloring them.  They just didn't look right.  I was lucky this time I was able to use a colored digi stamp from The Paper Shelter Challenge.  What a great idea!!  It is gorgeous and just in time to create a birthday card for my adorable granddaughter who will be turning 12 this month.  I can't wait to see what she thinks of this card!!  Thanks Paper Shelter for such an adorable digi stamp and for providing them with color.  Check out  The Paper Shelter website for a great selection of digi stamps and other products as well.

I used the sketch from Sketches by Carly; which I think is fantastic!! Carly is only 13 yrs old and she creates some of the most wonderful sketches.  I am in awe of her talent.  Thanks Carly for another great sketch!!

I created this card based on the inspiring card creation by the talented Kathy Winter at Sketches By Carly blog.  Kathy is one of the DT members.  I already had an idea what I wanted to create; but it wasn't coming together until I saw the scalloped square and the cute butterfly she used.  I tried several different kinds of butterflies; but none of them were quite as cute as the type she used.  Thanks Kathy for the great inspiration.

I love these colors together.  It may be hard to see; but the paper has polka dots and stripes of lavender, pink and several shades of green with vine leaf designs on it.  I used my Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge for the two borders at the top,the scalloped square and the butterfly.  There are over 700 images on this cartridge.  Buying this cartridge is the best investment I have ever made.  It makes creating so easy and so much more fun.

Supplies used for this card are:

Base - 6 1/2 x 5 white card base
All shapes are from Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge
Green Solid paper - S.e.i Couture  (Top border and butterfly)
Green Stripe paper - K & Company Jubilee Designer Paper
Lavender polka dot paper - DCWV - Fresh Floral Stack
Pink Card Stock - DCWV The Textured Brights Card stock
Ribbon - Offray
Bling - Lg white pearls - want2scrap.com
Bling - Little pearls on butterfly - CTMH Bitty Opaques Pearl (Z1707)
Foam Tape - Tombow 3D Foam Tabs
