Encouragement Card With Sketches By Carly Using Cricut Artiste Cartridge

Hello everyone!!  I hope you are doing well and finding time to create.  I have to start getting my house ready for my husband's family coming for two weeks; so I won't be on here much after the 15th for a couple weeks.  I will miss having time to create; but will be so ready after such a long break!!

It is time for another new sketch with Sketches by Carly.  Carly is a beautiful, creative, 13 year old lady who has such a fabulous talent that I feel very privileged to be part of her Design Team.  She also finds time to create digital stamps as well as her great sketches.  Check out her digital stamps at Carly's Cuties.  This sketch is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps; and they will be offering 7 free digital stamps for the winner of this weeks prize.  Be sure and create your card using Carly's sketch and join us in the fun!!

I used CTMH "Dotty For You" Paper Packet; which is retired.  I wanted to use the page with the bicycle and all the encouraging sentiments already on the paper; plus I added others to the blank spots.  I added "You're the best", "You're amazing", "Life is Good" and "You Make The World A Better Place."  They are stamped with CTMH Lagoon ink (Teal blue color).

Sketches By Carly Using "It's Your Day" Stamp Set, Cricut Art Philosophy and Cricut Artiste

Hi to my fellow crafters.  It's time for another Sketches By Carly.  I love Carly's sketches and love having a new one every two weeks.  If you haven't joined in the fun; there are lots of fantastic prizes every two weeks.  We are sponsored this week by Sweet N Sassy stamps.  I love this cute little mouse image.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.  This card is for my grandson who will be 17 yrs old.  I tried to make it fun and not childish.

I wanted to create a card using the new "It's Your Day" Double "D" stamp set that is now available for only $5 with a $35 purchase.  (Retail $35.90)  It is 2 "D" stamp sets and is fabulous!!  There are so many things you can do with this stamp set.  Click here for the video using this stamp set and the new Cricut Artiste Cartridge to create the inside of this card.  Click her for a CTMH video using this stamp set for scrapbooking layouts.

I pictured this little mouse on an adventure through the pumpkin patch and through life; so I used that theme to create this birthday card.  The image is "Cocoa's Pumpkin" from Sweet N Sassy Stamps.  I hope you enjoy my card.

Sketches by Carly With The Paper Shelter

Hello to all my fellow crafters and followers!   Most of you already know I am a Guest Designer for the summer with Sketches by Carly.  I have been having so much fun!  I had never used a digital stamp until I became a guest designer.  I didn't realize what I was missing until I joined their team.  I have been playing with digital stamps from The Paper Shelter this past weekend; who is also the sponsor for Sketches By Carly for the next two weeks.  We are given a wonderful opportunity to choose our favorite sketch by Carly to create our cards this week.  I have chosen Sketch 57; which is one of my favorites.

Carly is a very talented 13 yr. old that creates wonderful card sketches every two weeks for us card lovers to use.  Be sure to check out Sketches by Carly and enter to win fabulous prizes!!

I decided to create two cards using the same already colored Digi stamp from The Paper Shelter titled "Gyspy Dance".  The first one is reduced to a 3 x 3 size.  The second one is using the colored Digi Stamp at the original size; which is a 6 x 6 size.  I wasn't sure how it would look; but I think I prefer the larger one.  The colored background is teal; but for some reason my camera made it blue.  There are several different files with each one of the digi stamps with so many choices.  You can choose one and color yourself if you would prefer to do that.

Sketches By Carly #61 - My Heart Pieces Digital Stamps

Hi everyone!! I am so excited to share my card; as this is my first post using a digital stamp that I actually colored myself.  I need a lot of practice; but I felt it wasn't bad for a beginner.  I find these little stamps hard to color even with glasses!! Maybe you have to print bigger images than 2.5 like I did.  I only have about 14 Copic markers; so I didn't have a lot of selection.  I used what I had and did the best I could.

CTMH is coming out with a new marker August 1st; so I can't wait to see what it is now that I am actually using Digital stamps.  Using digital stamps opens a whole new world for creating cards.   I still love my acrylic stamp sets and wouldn't trade them for digital ones; but it is fun for a change to use the fairies and little girls, etc.  I am very happy to be testing the waters and learning new things.

As most of you know; I am a Guest Designer for Sketches By Carly for the summer and I am having a wonderful time.  I love these sketches.  They are created by Carly; who is a very creative 13 yr. old girl.  I think she does a fantastic job; which is why I wanted to be on her team to show my support of what she is doing.  I was so impressed that a 13 yr. old was making a difference with her talent.  Here is the card I created using a digital stamp from "My Heart Pieces called Gun Gun"

Close up view of "Gun Gun "- My Heart Pieces Digital Stamps

Isn't she adorable?  I love fairies and I thought this one was gorgeous!!  Of course I had to use purple!!

Birthday Card Using The Paper Shelter Digi Stamp, Sketches By Carly and Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

Hi you wonderful followers and readers!  I am so excited as I just created my first card using a digi stamp!!! I know I am really behind the times; but I was having trouble with coloring them.  They just didn't look right.  I was lucky this time I was able to use a colored digi stamp from The Paper Shelter Challenge.  What a great idea!!  It is gorgeous and just in time to create a birthday card for my adorable granddaughter who will be turning 12 this month.  I can't wait to see what she thinks of this card!!  Thanks Paper Shelter for such an adorable digi stamp and for providing them with color.  Check out  The Paper Shelter website for a great selection of digi stamps and other products as well.

I used the sketch from Sketches by Carly; which I think is fantastic!! Carly is only 13 yrs old and she creates some of the most wonderful sketches.  I am in awe of her talent.  Thanks Carly for another great sketch!!

I created this card based on the inspiring card creation by the talented Kathy Winter at Sketches By Carly blog.  Kathy is one of the DT members.  I already had an idea what I wanted to create; but it wasn't coming together until I saw the scalloped square and the cute butterfly she used.  I tried several different kinds of butterflies; but none of them were quite as cute as the type she used.  Thanks Kathy for the great inspiration.

I love these colors together.  It may be hard to see; but the paper has polka dots and stripes of lavender, pink and several shades of green with vine leaf designs on it.  I used my Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge for the two borders at the top,the scalloped square and the butterfly.  There are over 700 images on this cartridge.  Buying this cartridge is the best investment I have ever made.  It makes creating so easy and so much more fun.

Supplies used for this card are:

Base - 6 1/2 x 5 white card base
All shapes are from Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge
Green Solid paper - S.e.i Couture  (Top border and butterfly)
Green Stripe paper - K & Company Jubilee Designer Paper
Lavender polka dot paper - DCWV - Fresh Floral Stack
Pink Card Stock - DCWV The Textured Brights Card stock
Ribbon - Offray
Bling - Lg white pearls - want2scrap.com
Bling - Little pearls on butterfly - CTMH Bitty Opaques Pearl (Z1707)
Foam Tape - Tombow 3D Foam Tabs

Encouragement Card for Sketches by Carly

Hi fellow bloggers and readers.  I am so excited today as I will be joining Sketches by Carly as a Guest Designer for a couple months.  I hope you will stop by and check out the inspiring cards being created on her blog.  Carly is a very talented 13 yr. old who designs the sketches every two weeks for the great contests featured on that blog.  Be sure and take time to enter.  Her sketches are fun and great to work with.  I am proud to be part of their DT team.

I created this card for my male cousin using my new CTMH stamp set "Perfect Day"; which includes three phrases and three pictures.  I fell in love with it the first time I saw it and I got it free with the purchase of two stamp sets.  I  used Stella paper from Workshops on the Go - Stella Kit because all the borders are words such as:  family, love, ties that bind, together we can move mountains, laughter and remember.  I thought this was very appropriate because family is so important; especially when you are having a crisis in your life.

I used Sketch #58 at Sketches by Carly.  It is being sponsored by The Paper Shelter.

Supplies used for this card:

Card size - 6 1/2 x 5
Card Stock - CTMH Lagoon and Colonial White
Paper - Workshops on the Go - Stella Kit (Can also purchase paper packet separately)
Punch - Recollections Border Punch
Stamp Set - CTMH Perfect Day - C1499
Ink - CTMH Tulip  Exclusive Ink for sentiment and edges of colonial white card
Ink - CTMH Black Exclusive Ink for lighthouse scene and sea gulls
Button - Badge Buttons (Pewter) Z1704
Foam Tape - CTMH 3-D Foam Tape
Colored pencils for the color on Lighthouse scene

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
