Thankful Card Using CTMH July Stamp of the Month S2007

Hello Friends!  How are you?  I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.  It has gotten really hot here in Southern CA.

I created several cards in June; but haven't had time to post them.  This is a card that I created for a friend who needed a card for a man.  I don't create many cards for men; so it was a fun challenge.  I found an older stamp I had in my stash called "Inkadinkado Utopiary".  My friend was very happy with this card.

Birthday Card - Step Centre Card - Using Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

DT Project for Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #43 - Step Centre Card.

Hi fellow bloggers/crafters/friends.  It has been cold here in Southern CA at night; but nice during the day.  I hope you are having good weather wherever you are; or at least having fun and enjoying your life.

Come join another great week for Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #43 - Step Centre Card.  Our sponsors this week are Paper Makeup Stamps and Sassy Studios.  I hope you take the time to check out the beautiful creations by the DT.  We have some incredible talent.  If you would like to be a Guest Designer, put GDT after your name when you enter. Pick and choose from our Bingo board for items you want to use on your card and then enter it at Tammy's Scrapin Corner.

I chose Paper Makeup Stamps - "Wayne Fairy" and created a birthday card for my grandson.  I had originally planned to give him the scarecrow card I made; but when I started this one - I just knew it belonged to Jayden.

My daughter later told me he loves to play on the bales of hay at my brothers house; which I wasn't aware of until the card was finished.  The little fairy even looks like Jayden.   I added their newest addition to their family - Gizmo.  My daughter sent me a picture and I tried to color Gizmo based on his picture.  He looks much better than my little dog; but I tried.  He is actually a long haired white Pomeranian mix with golden hair color splattered here and there.

I used a tutorial from Desire - Doing Life blog for the buttons.  Go to her blog and scroll down, click on "Older Posts" and then go to April 23, 2012 for the tutorial.

Birthday Card for Male - Using CTMH Avonlea Paper

Hi all you beautiful crafters out there!!  It's really hot here in Southern CA; so I have been staying inside trying to stay cool.  We had a few earthquakes here a couple days ago; which is always a frightening experience to me.  I wasn't living here when they had the last big one; but seeing it on TV was enough to know I didn't want to be here when one hits.  Now - I'm living here and where do you go?  It isn't like a hurricane that you have advanced notice and can outrun; which I use to do when I lived in Florida.  Every area has it's fear factor.  We need to have faith and trust everything will work out the way it is supposed to work out.

I missed Mojo Monday last week.  I don't know how I forgot it; but I did.  I created a birthday card for my son; which was more difficult than I thought it would be.  Trying to find that many layers of coordinating paper can be a challenge.  Plus; trying to figure out what to use for sentiments to fit that person.   He is a dog lover; so I went with using A Bowwow stamp set on the outside.   My coloring for the dog wasn't what I wanted; but it was all I had in brown colors.

Card #3 for Virtual Card Club

Hello readers, bloggers and creators!!! I hope you are having a wonderful day!!  I am excited because I finished my last two cards for my card club.  I can't wait to share them with you.  I have been watching DVDs for techniques and for different types of cards; so I decided to make a tri-fold card.  I got the idea for the layers of this tri-fold from another consultant friend of mine, Dawn Montagano.  She used a butterfly on the front of her card; so I decided it should work for a male card using the tree.  I love this tree and the butterflies.

I used the beautiful Pemberley Paper from the "Workshops On The Go - Pemberley"; which features one of my favorite stamp sets.  (I used the stamp set on my Mother's Day card - check older posts.) This paper can be used for both male and female.  There is also a floral paper in this packet.  I found out it is harder to create cards for males than for females. I only used one butterfly so this could be used as a card for a male.  The inside could be stamped with butterflies, parts of the tree, hearts, or anything else with a message. I left it empty so it could be used for male or female.  This is double-sided paper and is heavy like card stock.  Cuts very nicely with my Cricut.  I used my Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge to cut the different shapes used on this card.

The 4th card will be coming soon and then I will provide a picture for all 4 cards together; so you can get a better idea of what is included with the Virtual Card Club for the first month.  The 4th card is one of the cards from the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge; which has 100 cards featured on it.  I will be using at least one a month in the Virtual Card Club.
Don't forget June is buy 2 get 1 free stamp sets.  Take advantage of this sale!! It only happens once in a while.  I was told it was 2 years ago since the last one.  CTMH stamp sets are high quality stamps and stamp very clear and easy to read.  I love them; which is one of the reasons I joined this wonderful company.  I purchased the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge and fell in love with it, the stamp sets and the company.

Supplies used to create this card:
Card base - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2  - Using CTMH Indian Corn Blue Card Stock
Paper: CTMH Workshops On The Go - Pemberley; also comes in a paper packet
Card stock under printed paper is CTMH Desert Sand
Card stock for tree stamp; sentiment and inside is CTMH Colonial White
Stamp Set - CTMH "A Tree" A1124
