Sympathy Card Using Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

Hi fellow crafters!  Unfortunately; we had 4 deaths in a row in our family in the past two months.  I created 4 sympathy cards for my brother's family.  I was unable to get any created for the others; so I had to send store bought cards.  I don't know about anyone else; but I have a very hard time giving store bought cards to anyone since I started creating cards.  Sometimes; you just have to do it even if you don't want to.

 

This card was for my niece.  It was her mother who passed away with a sudden massive stroke at 58 yrs. old.  She was a perfectly healthy woman; so it was a shock to all of us.  My three children were best friends with her three children.  Both of us had 2 boys and a girl.  It was very sad to see her go so young.

 

I recently bought more embossing folders and wanted to try some of them.  This one is so pretty.  I embossed it on white and then colored it with my CTMH exclusive inks.

Birthday Side Step Card For Male Using Cricut Art Philosophy and Cricut Artiste Cartridges

DT Project For Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #86 - Anything Goes

 

Hi to all my wonderful friends and followers.  I am so happy you have dropped by today.  I have had a rough couple weeks.  We had four deaths in our family; my kids grandmother (fathers side) August 17; their step-grandmother; we found out on Oct. 16th that she died Sept. 2nd; my sister-in-law on Oct. 18th and my son-in-law's cousin on Oct. 24th.  It has been a rough year. 

My children lost a wonderful grandmother (89 yrs.) and a fabulous step-grandmother (80 yrs.) ; only 2 weeks apart.  My wonderful sister-in-law (Pat) had a sudden massive stroke and she was only 58 yrs. old.  And then last week, my son-in-law lost his cousin, only 30 yrs. old; father of two.  It is hard enough to handle a death in the family when they are older; but it is even more devastating when the person is so young.   I think 58 yrs. old is way to young to die. 

 

Pat was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, wife, sister and friend to so many people.  She will be severely missed by everyone who knew her.  She was a healthy woman with no medical issues.  It made me aware again of how short and fragile our lives are; and to take better care of myself while doing things I love.  It made me re-evaluate my priorities; which may take me a while.

 

I am fortunate that this card was created before the last 3 deaths occurred.  I don't think I could have done it otherwise.  I have only created sympathy cards since the deaths.

I created this card for my brother-in-law for his birthday.  The image is Bugaboo Gus Golf; which I thought was funny and cute; so I had to use it.  I also used Tiffany Doodles Golf Cart Digital Stamp Set.  He loves golfing; so I thought it was very appropriate.

Sympathy Card Using Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

Hello all you beautiful people.  The weather has still been warm here.  It has been a tough few weeks. My sister-in-law passed away in MO last Thursday during the night and her funeral was Wednesday. I wasn't able to attend due to my allergies.  I used the time to work on Sympathy cards for my brother and his family.

I created this card for my brother, Buddy.  I saw one on Pinterest; but it noted google.com; so unable to find who created it.  I think I have created a card similar to this before; but I love this card layout.

Birthday Card Using Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge and CTMH Huntington Paper

 DT Project For Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #84- Fall Colors

Hello to all my wonderful followers as well as visitors.  I am so happy to be able to have time to create cards and scrapbook pages.  I hope everyone is making time to be creative.  I feel it is very important to my overall sense of well being.  I feel better when I have made someone something; and get so excited waiting to see how they react to my latest creation.

I created a gorgeous Gatefold card - sorry - have to brag.  I love this card!  I was very impressed with it when I got finished.  I have a major challenge when creating for the male species.  LOL!  I started creating my brother-in-law a card for his birthday; but as I was getting ready to add the sentiments; my intuition told me this card was for my husband, not my brother-in-law.  My husband's birthday is on Halloween.  I know he is going to love this card.  Now, I have started working on another card for my brother-in-law and it is going to be perfect for him.  LOL!  I will be sharing it in two weeks for Tammy's Scrapin Corner, as well.
 

I used a digital stamp by Eureka - Mallard for my image.  I love this image and have been wanting to use it for several months.  I actually took pictures of Mallards at the park the other day to try to see how they look before coloring this.  LOL!
