Friendship Card Using Conie Fong Butterfly Daisy

Hello Friends!  How are you doing?  I hope everyone is staying safe during this World crisis.  I know many of us feel helpless during this time and don't know what to believe or what to do sometimes.  It is hard to know the truth when there are so many rumors and lies out there.

This Coronavirus is real and we have to do what we can to keep it from spreading and killing others.  The sooner we accept and follow the guidelines, the quicker we can get back to a somewhat normal life.  Good luck and stay safe.

If you want to know what you can do to help stop the spread of this virus; it is best to check the official CDC site.  Don't trust all the information that you are seeing out there as the truth.  Click here to go directly to Coronavirus information.

I know many people are at home now, due to the Coronavirus.  Some of us will have time to craft and some won't.  Our focus has to change based on the needs of our families, with so many home schooling their children now.

Here is my latest creation using Conie Fong Butterfly Daisy.  I am so in love with these new images Conie has created.  I actually pushed myself out of my comfort zone and created the hills, grass, sky, etc.  It was a big deal for me.  I want to learn to do more in the near future.

Sentiment on front is also with this set.

Birthday Card Using Carly's Cuties and Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

Hi to all my wonderful fellow bloggers.  It is a gorgeous fall day in Southern California.  It is supposed to rain and storm today; which I am looking forward to.  I listen to storms on my CD player and love the sound of the falling rain and the loud claps of thunder.  I didn't appreciate the storms when I lived in Missouri and Florida.  I felt like it rained all the time in Florida; but I miss that now that I live in California.  We rarely have rain or thunder.  I miss the lightening; but am grateful we don't have the power outages from the storms like I grew up with.  Of course the sun is out right now; so we may not have the rain or the thunder.

It is time for another new sketch from Sketches by Carly.  This is the last sketch from Sketches by Carly; so come and join the fun.  Please come and say your goodbyes to the DT and to Carly.  She is going to focus on creating Carly's Cuties; which is her new line of Digi stamps and Digi papers.  This young lady is 13 yrs old and very talented.  I am grateful for her and the Design Team and feel privileged to have been part of the team these past few months.  I have learned so much from Kris, Carly's mother.  They have been a blessing to me.  Carly designs the Digi stamps and her mother, Kris designs the Digi papers.  You will continue to see her Digi stamps on my blog when she creates new ones.  I want to continue to support her creativity and help spread the word as much as I can.

This card is my first time using Digi paper.  I wasn't sure if I would like it or not; but it was very easy to use.  I printed the paper designs on cardstock; which makes it so much more sturdy.  Kris has created some gorgeous papers to match Carly's new colored Digi stamps; which makes it less of a challenge trying to find paper to match the Digi colors.  Her Digi stamps also come without color so you can add your own if you choose to do so.

I created this card to give to one of my grandchildren.  They will love these bright colors and Birthday Allison as well.  I hope you enjoy my card and Carly's Cuties as much as I do.  I turned it around a little bit to make it work for a smaller size card rather than the 6 x 6 size.

Thank You Cards Using CTMH Permberley Paper Packet

Hello to all my readers/followers/fellow crafters!!  I hope everyone is keeping cool in this terrible heat.  Southern CA was cooler than the rest of US until this week and now we have the heat too.  My sister and her husband will be here Saturday; so I have to get my house cleaned and ready for them.  I may not be on here for a few days after they arrive; but I will be back!

I needed some Thank You cards; so I created two really quick and easy ones using the Pemberley Paper Packet.  I used acrylic stamps for the inside without any paper.  These are simple, not fancy.  Wanted to show you that simple and quick is good too.  I used my Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge to cut my scallops.

I stamped the inside of the top of the card with several of the little flowers using colors from the patterned paper with CTMH "Card Word Puzzle".  This flower matches some of the flowers on the patterned paper.  The Thank You is from CTMH "4 My Friend".  I may add color to them later; but didn't have time right now.  This is a picture of the lower half of the inside of the card.

This is the 2nd card I created using Pemberley Paper Packet as well.  There are several wonderful patterns as well as solid color papers in this packet.  You can stamp the inside with anything you want.  It doesn't have to be Thank You; but that is what I used.

Supplies used for creating these two cards:

1st card - Floral card
Base is 5 3/4 x 4 1/4
Paper - CTMH Pemberley Paper Packet
Ribbon - American Crafts

Adhesive - Tombow

Sentiment - Thank You - CTMH 4 My Friend (D1510)
Flower inside - CTMH Card Word Puzzle (C1494)

2nd card
Base is 5 1/2 x 4
Paper - CTMH Pemberley Paper Packet
Ribbon - American Crafts
Larger Butterfly - EK 3 way butterfly punch
Smaller Butterflies - Martha Stewart
Bling - CTMH Bitty Opaques Pearl
Foam Tape - CTMH 3-D foam tape for the butterflies

Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop

Hello fellow bloggers!  I hope you are having a fantastic day!!  Welcome to the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge Blog Hop.  We are a group of Close To My Heart Consultants (well most of us) and will be showcasing the very versatile CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge (AP Cart).  This is my first blog and I am very excited to be a part of it.  I hope you enjoy it too.

If you are visiting from Michelle's blog then you are in the right place. If not, please start from the beginning with Courtney's blog.  See the complete list of blogs after the pictures of the card  - further down the page.  Please leave a comment on these blogs if you have time as everyone loves compliments on their blogs.  Enjoy our blog hop!!

Here are the two Thank You cards I created with CTMH Florentine Paper Packet using CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge and the CTMH Card Puzzle Stamp set.  To order these products; click on any product name in blue and you will see the product on my website and can order from there.

Thank You card #1 is from the Florentine background page you see below.  I created the flowers for both cards from the same paper pattern.  Each one is a little different than the other; but appear very close to the same on both cards.

Close up view of the flowers used on both cards.
See below for size and page number from handbook.

Thank You card #2 is using the decorative layer on the AP cart; which adds a different touch to the same style.  The layers for the cards are both cut from the same Florentine Pattern page; but they look so different from each other.  I find it interesting how you can get two different cards from the same piece of patterned paper.
