Birthday Card Using Cricut Artiste Cartridge

Hi to all you creative people!  I have been playing with my new Circut Artiste Collection.  I love the doilies on this cartridge; so I decided to play with them on this card.  I created this Birthday card for my granddaughter Lana.  This little girl reminds me so much of her.  She will be 10 years old; so I hope this isn't too young for her.  This is a Whoopsi Daisy girl I purchased several months ago; but didn't know how to use Digi stamps at that time.  This is only my second Digi stamp that I have colored.  I am still learning to use Copic markers.

Encouragement Card - Love Conquers All

Hello all you wonderful crafters!!  I think everyone is having to deal with very hot weather all over the map.  It has been over 105 all week and doesn't seem to be cooling down yet.  I have been having fun creating with my new Cricut Artiste Cartridge that I received on Thursday. If you haven't seen it; check out my two videos I just created and put on You Tube.  Click here for the Cricut Art Philosophy video demonstrating how to use the card feature.  Click here for the Cricut Artiste video showing you how to use the two handbooks.

This card was created before I got my new Artiste cartridge.  I actually made this one without using my Cricut; which is amazing.  I rarely make a card without using the Art Philosophy cartridge.  I wanted to use this paper and a Digi stamp from Bugaboo stamp - Love Conquers All.  I hope you enjoy this card.

I didn't finish the inside yet; because I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it.  I am sure I can use it for several different occasions when I need it.  I love Bugaboo Digi stamps, especially the silhouettes.  They are so elegant and so easy to use.  You can change the colors if you want too; but I loved the black on white for this card.

Supplies used for this card:

Card base - 5 1/2 x 6
Patterned Paper - S.E.I. Couture

White Cardstock for stamp - Reflections

Birthday Card for Male - Using CTMH Avonlea Paper

Hi all you beautiful crafters out there!!  It's really hot here in Southern CA; so I have been staying inside trying to stay cool.  We had a few earthquakes here a couple days ago; which is always a frightening experience to me.  I wasn't living here when they had the last big one; but seeing it on TV was enough to know I didn't want to be here when one hits.  Now - I'm living here and where do you go?  It isn't like a hurricane that you have advanced notice and can outrun; which I use to do when I lived in Florida.  Every area has it's fear factor.  We need to have faith and trust everything will work out the way it is supposed to work out.

I missed Mojo Monday last week.  I don't know how I forgot it; but I did.  I created a birthday card for my son; which was more difficult than I thought it would be.  Trying to find that many layers of coordinating paper can be a challenge.  Plus; trying to figure out what to use for sentiments to fit that person.   He is a dog lover; so I went with using A Bowwow stamp set on the outside.   My coloring for the dog wasn't what I wanted; but it was all I had in brown colors.

Inside card - Used retired set for the Smile sentiment.  (CTMH "Wonderful You") and CTMH "4 My Friend" for Happy Birthday sentiment.

Birthday Card Using Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

Hi to all my followers, fellow crafters and readers.  It was a busy and hot weekend here in Southern CA.  I found some free time to finish a couple cards I had started several weeks ago.  My favorite one is this birthday card; which uses my Bugaboo Silhouette Butterfly and Flowers digital stamp.  I love their stamps; especially the silhouettes.  I love black and white cards.  I think they look so elegant.

I used my Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge to cut the base at 5 inches.  I also used the font layer to cut the beautiful doily type cuts.  I completed the inside with the same type of cut.

Inside using two different CTMH stamp sets. The left side is from CTMH "Hooray Bouquet" and on the right is from CTMH "4 My Friend" stamp sets.

Closer view of the left side.

About The Award

The Leibster Blog Award is used to show appreciation of smaller blogs (under 200 followers) and to help spread joy to fellow bloggers.

'Leibster' comes from the German word meaning 'Dearest' or 'Beloved' but can also mean 'Favourite/Favorite'.  This award is a peer to peer award in which fellow bloggers present the award to their favorite bloggers with less than 200 followers. The origins of this award is unclear, but it is believed to have originated by a German blogger. This award was designed to be a blog award in the pay it forward fashion to share your dearest and most beloved blogs that have less than 200 followers.

As part of the tradition, the award is to be passed along to 5 other blogs that have motivated and inspired me.

 Rules for Acceptance
  • Thank the person who gave you the award and link back to their blog.
  • Post the award onto your blog.
  • Give the award to five bloggers who you appreciate that have less than 200 followers.
  • Leave a comment on their blog letting them know that you have given them this awesome award.

I have selected the following blogs of 5 women I admire who have given me inspiration when I needed it the most. They are beautiful blogs and their creativity has given me hope and courage to create and post on my own blog to inspire others.

Thank you so much ladies for the inspiration you have provided me and many other people.  I appreciate all of the bloggers and crafters out there in the crafting world.  You inspire me to learn and to create more!!

Choose one of these awesome Liebster Award badges and place on your website.  Please follow this tradition and pass this award to five other deserving winners.  I know they will appreciate the honor of receiving this award.

I will be notifying each of these lovely ladies and passing the Liebster Blog Award to them. I hope they enjoy it and pass it on to five other blogs as directed in the rules noted above. Thanks again Carolyn.  It was truly an honor to receive this award.
