Hello everyone!! I am so sorry that the East coast was hit with such a terrible storm and my heart goes out to the families there who have lost loved ones, homes and so much more. It is difficult to watch the heartache of these wonderful people and not be touched. They are in my thoughts and prayers and I hope things get better for them soon.
I decided to create some Christmas cards using the CTMH Pear & Partridge Card Making Kit. It includes cards/envelope, stamp set, paper and cardstock with embellishments to create 15 beautiful Christmas cards. You can create several more cards using the left over materials and your own cardstock stash and cards with envelopes. I haven't gotten that far yet; but many other consultants have made 8 - 10 additional cards with the scraps. I will let you know how many I come up with when I am finished.
The kit contains 3 different styles and you create 5 of each style. This is the first one I created; so I have 5 cards to share with you today. I hope you enjoy my creations. I like to add my own take on things; so I used a holly embossing folder on two of them, added a holly punch and used CTMH Cranberry ink rather than Cocoa ink to my cards. I also forgot to ink the edges. I was excited and got in too big of a hurry to get them done. I also turned the bow around as I liked it better my way. I was always a rebellious child. LOL. I made several mistakes in my hurry to get them done; so I plan to do the remainder at a more relaxed pace. HA!!
I used CTMH Cocoa Ink on the card base on the left side per instructions; but I used CTMH Cranberry Ink for the sentiment. All others I used the CTMH Cranberry Ink for the card base and for the sentiment.
Card base - Left one using CTMH Cocoa ink and right one using CTMH Cranberry ink.
I used the Sizzix Holly Embossing Folder on the red cardstock on these two; which I also made several mistakes. I liked it better with the plain cardstock without the embossing.
Supplies I used for these cards:
Includes the following:
Use the materials, kit-exclusive accessories, and instructions in this kit to create 15 beautiful cards (5 each of 3 designs) inspired by Jeanette Lynton. This workshop project is ideal for creating as a group or on your own and takes approximately 3 hours to complete.
Included in the kit:
1 – My Acrylix® Pear & Partridge Cardmaking Workshop Stamp Set (C-size)
2 – Pear & Partridge B&T Duos® Papers
4 – Cardstock Sheets (Cranberry, Colonial White, 2 Cocoa)
15 – Colonial White Cards & Envelopes
1 – Red Glitter Gems (108 pieces)
1 – Tan Twill Ribbon (5 yards)
1 – Instructional Brochure
Some basic tools you may already have, such as inks, stamp blocks, or tools are needed to complete this project.
Ink: CTMH Cocoa Ink, CTMH Olive Ink and CTMH Cranberry Ink
Holly Punch - Martha Stewart
Ink on the Holly - Uniball red metallic ink
Embossing Folder - Sizzix/Hero Arts - Textured Impressions - Holly Back (Both a rubber stamp and embossing folder in one package.)
Foam Tape
Adhesive

Thank you so much for visiting my blog. I hope my creations inspire you to create something for someone. I appreciate all your wonderful compliments and will try to answer them within a few days. Christmas is just around the corner and this is my first year to make Christmas cards. I have a hard time giving people store bought cards after getting used to making all my cards. I may still have to send them to some people; just because of the volume I send each year. I hope someday to replace all the purchased cards for all hand made cards. Have a fabulous weekend!!
Remember - Keep On Creating!!
It's Good For Your Health!!

ReplyDeleteThanks Patty for the wonderful compliments. I appreciate your loving support. Have a fantastic week! Hugs, Gloria
DeleteThis is a gorgeous set of cards! Love the layout. I think I prefer the ones with the cranberry ink on the backgrounds (which it looks like you did, too), but I have to disagree with you and say I really like the embossing on the red layer. With any of the options they are all beautiful. Thanks for playing with CSAYL.
ReplyDeleteHi Heather. Thank you for your opinion about the embossing. I wasn't sure if it showed up enough; but several people have liked it. I just finished the second set of the next 5 cards of that Christmas card making kit; but forgot to use the embossing and wished I had now. Maybe I will have enough scraps to try at least one with it on there. Thanks for your wonderful compliments and for your support. Have a fabulous week!! Hugs, Gloria

DeleteWow, you've made a beautiful set of cards hun! Must've taken you ages. Thanks for joining us at Crafty Catz this week :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the wonderful compliment Beth. They actually don't take long to make once your cut all the pieces out for the kit. I just finished the second set of 5 and have one set of 5 to go. I have been taking my time to make them a few at a time. There are 3 sets of 5 cards in the card kit. I haven't had time to post them; but I will. It includes everything you need to make them. The card base and envelopes are also part of the package. It is an easy way to get several Christmas cards done at once and you can still add something different or change them a little so they aren't all alike if you want; like I did. Thanks for visiting my blog. Have a fantastic day! Hugs, Gloria
