Christmas card Using CTMH Woodland Wishes and other CTMH products

Hello friends!   Is everyone ready for Christmas?  Right?  LOL!  I have finished sending out my Christmas cards and Christmas checks.  I found I had several cards already created from this year and last year combined; so that was a big help.   I was worried that I might not have enough home made cards.  I only send my home made cards to certain people; because some people just throw them in the trash when the season is over.  I keep every card that is hand made that I receive each year; but I know not everyone feels that way about them as I do.  

I created this Christmas card specifically for my friend Lori.  I saw this die when I was looking for dies I hadn't used yet and thought of her.  I fell in love with this die when I first saw it; but I don't think I have ever used it.  Sad when we buy things and don't remember we have them the next year at Christmas.  Oh well, I am working on trying to remember to look each year before I start my cards.

I also fell in love with this shiny cardstock from Crafters Companion Winter Wonderland Collection.  I thought it went perfectly with this gorgeous reindeer die.  The paper is part of the Winter Wonderland paper pack; sold separately from the glitter and mirror cardstock.

Birthday Card For My Friend

Hello friends!   Isn't this weather crazy!  We are having a lot of rain now in Southern CA; which we needed more back when we had all those horrible fires.  I am grateful for the rain; but worried about the burned areas having mud slides.  I hope everyone is doing well.  I wrote this on Thursday; but forgot to post it.  LOL!

I can't get warm for some reason.  It's a good thing I live where it is warmer.  It is in the 50's here with rain; which makes it feel colder; but I actually had to use the heat the last few days; more today than other days.  I feel for people who live in the colder climates.  My body can't handle it anymore since I got older.  LOL!  I am not old yet; but sometimes my body feels like it.    

I purchased the Crafters Companion monthly Subscription boxes through HSN a few months ago; and haven't really taken the time to work with very many of  them.  I did create with the Quilling flowers - Box 5; which I love.  This card was created using December, Box 7.  I enjoy the videos and learning new things.  Sara Davies does a great job in teaching us things I have never tried.  They aren't complicated; but new to me.  There is so much to learn in the crafting world and I can't get enough of it.  LOL!  

Here is the first card I created using the supplies in December Box 7.  I almost didn't get it; because I didn't think there was much to learn with cutting circles; but I was wrong.  LOL!  

I apologize for the strange shape of the card on the photo; but I tried 3 times and used sticky dots inside; and still got uneven edges.  It looks like a wave.  It is a white 5 x 7 straight edge card.  LOL!  Also, I made a lot of mistakes on this one; but that is how we learn, right?  I am sure my friend Cheryl will enjoy the card, even if it isn't perfect.  

This card has an extra inside piece which has been cut to show through the front window.  See the 3rd photo to better understand it.

This card has an extra inside layer to add more color to the card; and to make it more elegant.

Christmas Card Using CTMH Cricut Season Of Joy Digital Cartridge

Hello friends!   How are you doing?  I know a lot of USA is cold and has been having snow and ice this past week.  Crazy weather, right?   It sure feels like Winter in Southern CA; even though it is much colder in other areas.  

I have been trying to find time to create with this new CTMH Cricut Season Of Joy Digital Cartridge and finally found the time to get it done.  It is only available through Dec 2018 or while supplies last.  

I had planned on using it for more Christmas cards; but as usual, I got sidetracked.  LOL!  Here is the reason I bought this cartridge.  It is a 3D Christmas card; which I am in love with.  LOL!  I hope you enjoy it.

I created a video on how to create this 3D card after it is cut from the Cricut Design Space.  I later decided to add a piece of white cardstock behind the main card base, mostly to give it more support.  It works either way; but I like it with white behind it.  If you create this card using Glitter cardstock; you will need heavy duty tape like Crafters Companion double sided Red liner tape; as others I tried would not stick with the glitter layer.  Click here for the link to my video.  See below.  Video within this post also.

In the video, I mentioned using CTMH Carolina cardstock; but it is actually the CTMH Bluebird reverse side (lighter) of cardstock.  All our cardstock is darker color on one side and the lighter color on the other side; which gives you a total of 80 colors plus white and black.  Click here to order this Cricut Cartridge.
