Gateway Easel Card Using Cricut Art Philosophy, Cricut Artiste and Clementine Paper

Hi fellow bloggers, crafters and friends.  It is a beautiful fall day in Southern CA!  Yes - Fall is finally here.  I hope this finds everyone happy and having a great day.  Please continue to remember the people on the East Coast in your thoughts and prayers as they continue to struggle with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.  I heard there are still many people without power and/or gas.  American Red Cross is taking donations if anyone wants to help.  FYI: CTMH is donating $1 for each of the November 50% special purchases this month to American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy.  (See special below or on the side bar.)

The challenge this week for Tammy's Scrapin Corner is Challenge #36 - Anything Goes; which starts today.  Our sponsors are: Sassy Studios and Eureka Stamps.  This is my first card as a new member of the DT.    I am so excited to be part of Tammy's team.  Our Guest Designer this week is Bettina L.  Be sure to check out her blog.

This is my first Easel card and I have combined the Gateway card with the Easel card.  Here is the  tutorial for the Gateway Easel card on Card Making Magic by Christina.   I thought it was a cute idea; so I tried it.  It wasn't hard; but it's like creating two cards.  It took me a little longer to create this one.  I hope you enjoy my creation.  Christina has a lot of really great tutorials and videos on her blog.  Be sure to check it out.

I used both the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge and the Cricut Artiste Cartridge for making this card.  I chose the paper Clementine as it is my favorite right now.  There are several designs with this paper packet.  CTMH markers are so great for coloring the small parts of an image.  They have an end that is small (not quite fine point) and a regular medium point end.  I tried coloring the bench with other markers and they were too big to fit in the small space for the little curves.

Christmas Cards - 2nd Card In CTMH Pear and Partridge Cardmaking Kit

Hi fellow crafters and readers.  I hope everyone is having a fantastic day and enjoying their weather whatever season you are having. It has been in the 90's in the past few days; but we finally have fall weather today with rain.  Yeah!! I hope the hot weather stays away for a few months.  I love Fall and Spring.

Please continue to keep the people on the East Coast in your thoughts and prayers as they struggle to recover from Hurricane Sandy.  I lived in Pensacola, FL for many years and it is heartbreaking to have to live with the devastation you experience with any of these storm and their aftermath.

I am so excited!! I have been accepted as a member of the DT for Tammy's Scrapin Corner.  I have been wanting to apply for her team for several months and finally decided to go for it.  I applied late Sunday night before going to bed.  I was already scheduled to be a guest DT on Monday; so now it is official.  Join in the fun and enter her challenges every Monday.  They are so much fun!  Tammy and her DT team are awesome!!

I have been taking it slow creating the three different sets of cards with this wonderful cardmaking kit.  I cut them all out at the same time; but I am trying to make each card just a little different, either by adding something or by using a different ink color.  I like variety in life and I feel the same way about my creations.  I don't like creating two completely identical.  This is the 2nd of the 3 card styles in this cardmaking kit.  I hope you enjoy this one.

One regular card and one with green/red embossed for variety

Watch this video for CTMH Card Making Kits. The two card kits are Avonlea (Thank You) kit and Pear & Partridge (Christmas card) kit. The Pear & Partridge is perfect for making Christmas cards for your family and friends. I am currently making the Christmas cards and they are so easy to follow. Each kit makes 15 cards plus I have enough paper left over to make additional cards by using cardstock I have on hand. Both WOTG kits come with a D size stamp set and everything you need, including the cards and envelopes, to make these beautiful cards shown here.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I appreciate your support and I love all the wonderful compliments.  I hope you will be inspired to create something.  It doesn't have to be cards.  Someday, I may surprise you and created something other than a card or Scrapbook pages.  I actually have created other things; but I wasn't impressed and didn't take pictures. LOL.  My niche seems to be in these two areas, not in 3D crafts.  Ha!  Have a wonderful week!

Birthday Card Using Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge and AP Celebration Stamp Set With CTMH Markers

Good morning to all my fellow bloggers/creators.  It remains fairly warm here in Southern California; but it is cooler than it was a few weeks ago.  It is hard to believe it is fall when the weather is this warm; but the leaves are changing so it must be fall.

I am very excited to share my card with you that I created for Tammy's Scrapin Corner .  I was chosen to be a Guest Designer on her blog using a fall theme.  I feel honored to be a part of such a creative team; even for just one day.  Be sure to check out all the wonderful creations from the rest of the team and enter your project as well.

I used a digital stamp from QKR Stampede; one of the sponsors this week.  Drop by and check out their cute digi and rubber stamps.  You will find this one under Autumn and Scarecrow.  I am in love with scarecrows right now; as many other people.  They are everywhere -  in the stores, in yards, on cards and all kinds of other projects.  I am planning on giving this card to one of my grandsons on his birthday.  I think he will love it!!

I used CTMH new markers and I love them!!  They are so easy to use.  I had to use a few Copic markers for my browns and skin tones; as CTMH Basic colors are not available at this time.  I can't wait to have the complete set.  I love how they coordinate with the ink, cardstock and paper packets.  There are two in a pack with one either lighter or darker than the regular color.  You can see them on page 9 of our Autumn/Winter Idea Book with the cardstock and ink pads.

Christmas Cards Using CTMH Pear And Partridge Card Making Kit

Hello everyone!!  I am so sorry that the East coast was hit with such a terrible storm and my heart goes out to the families there who have lost loved ones, homes and so much more.  It is difficult to watch the heartache of these wonderful people and not be touched.  They are in my thoughts and prayers and I hope things get better for them soon.

I decided to create some Christmas cards using the CTMH Pear & Partridge Card Making Kit.  It includes cards/envelope, stamp set, paper and cardstock with embellishments to create 15 beautiful Christmas cards.  You can create several more cards using the left over materials and your own cardstock stash and cards with envelopes.  I haven't gotten that far yet; but many other consultants have made 8 - 10 additional cards with the scraps.  I will let you know how many I come up with when I am finished.

The kit contains 3 different styles and you create 5 of each style.  This is the first one I created; so I have 5 cards to share with you today.  I hope you enjoy my creations.  I like to add my own take on things; so I used a holly embossing folder on two of them, added a holly punch and used CTMH Cranberry ink rather than Cocoa ink to my cards.  I also forgot to ink the edges.  I was excited and got in too big of a hurry to get them done.  I also turned the bow around as I liked it better my way.  I was always a rebellious child.  LOL.  I made several mistakes in my hurry to get them done; so I plan to do the remainder at a more relaxed pace.  HA!!

I used CTMH Cocoa Ink on the card base on the left side per instructions; but I used CTMH Cranberry Ink for the sentiment.  All others I used the CTMH Cranberry Ink for the card base and for the sentiment.

Card base - Left one using CTMH Cocoa ink and right one using CTMH Cranberry ink.

I used the Sizzix Holly Embossing Folder on the red cardstock on these two; which I also made several mistakes.  I liked it better with the plain cardstock without the embossing.

Supplies I used for these cards:

Thank you so much for visiting my blog.  I hope my creations inspire you to create something for someone.  I appreciate all your wonderful compliments and will try to answer them within a few days.   Christmas is just around the corner and this is my first year to make Christmas cards.  I have a hard time giving people store bought cards after getting used to making all my cards.  I may still have to send them to some people; just because of the volume I send each year.  I hope someday to replace all the purchased cards for all hand made cards.  Have a fabulous weekend!!
