Christmas Cards - Card Three Using Pear and Partridge Card Making Kit

Hi to all my wonderful blogging/crafting friends.  I hope everyone is having a great holiday!!  The weather has cooled down here in Southern CA and we have been having rain.  Don't believe anyone that says "it never rains in Southern CA" because it does.  Although, I lived here for almost a year before we had rain.  I actually missed it.  LOL.  You don't realize how great someone/something is until it is gone.  So true.

I know Christmas is almost over.  Today is Christmas; so I have a couple more hours to post these cards and still not be late.  LOL!!  I finished my last set of Christmas cards last week.  These are from the CTMH Workshop On The Go Pear & Partridge Cardmaking kit.  You might want to purchase one of these card sets and get an early start on your Christmas cards for next year.

My father-in-law passed away in November; so we had a house full of guests.  I wasn't able to create for a couple weeks.  This is the third set of 5 - the kit includes everything to make 15 cards including the card base and envelopes.  This was my first year to make Christmas cards; but I needed more than 15; so a lot of people got store bought cards.  It was hard for me to give store bought cards.

I like to do something a little different with my cards; so they aren't all the same.  I used different ribbons to create a little different look.  I hope you enjoy this last set of Christmas cards.  I didn't want to leave you hanging wondering what the last set looked like.

I made these cards using different ribbons and placing the bling in different areas on the cards.

I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas.  I was able to see my daughters children through Facetime today.  It was such a joy to share some time with them across the miles and actually see them.  I am so enjoying my new iPhone.  It is the best gift my husband could have gotten me for Christmas.  My two best purchases I have ever made is my Cricut last year for Christmas and my iPhone.

Thanks for stopping by.  Only a few more days in December to get the Stamp of the Month for only $5 with a $50 purchase.  Also, I am offering free shipping for the month of December.

Have a wonderful day and enjoy your family!

Christmas Card Using CTMH Pear & Partridge Paper and Cricut Artiste Cartridge

Hi to all my friends in the blogging world.   Winter has arrived in Southern California with a bang.  We have had several days of rain and a lot cooler temperatures; which has been nice.  I love the cooler temperatures; but I know others are probably having snow and colder temperatures than we are.

My father-in-law passed away November 19th and we have been very busy with planning of the funeral and other events surrounding his sudden death.  He was 91 yrs old,  a beloved husband and father.  We are going to miss him very much.  My husband made at least two trips a day to the nursing home for the past 8 yrs to visit his mother (passed in 2008) and then his father (passed 2012).  He is going to be lost without those daily visits.  I think he is going to continue visiting some of the patients he has gotten to know these past few years; especially the Chinese patients who don't speak English.  His parents didn't speak English and it was difficult for them to communicate with the staff at the nursing home.

It's time for another challenge at Tammy's Scrapin Corner - Challenge 39 - Anything Christmas.  Our sponsors are Digi Darla's Designs and A Day For Daisies.  I hope you will take the time to visit Tammy's Scrapin Corner to check out all the awesome creations by the design team.  Our Guest Designer this week is Adrienne Crist.  Check out her blog for more wonderful creations!!

I used Digi Darla's "Cat Christmas" for my creation.  I added the words "Merry Christmas" and the two presents under the tree with a stamp set from CTMH Pear & Partridge Cardmaking Kit.

I appreciate you taking the time to visit my blog.  I hope you enjoyed yourself today and are inspired to create something for yourself or someone you love.  It is such a wonderful feeling to share your creations with others; especially people you love.

Thank you for all your wonderful compliments.  I may not send a reply to them as I have done in the past.  I don't seem to have the time to answer all of them; but know that I am very appreciative of your comments and cherish each and everyone of them.  I am not sure anyone ever saw my replies; because I don't know if they go to the blogger email or regular email. I rarely, if ever, see my blogger email; but I do check my regular email.

I may start answering them again in the future; but it has been hectic for the past two weeks due to my father-in-law passing away; and many family members at our home.

Have a fabulous day!!

Christmas Cards - 2nd Card In CTMH Pear and Partridge Cardmaking Kit

Hi fellow crafters and readers.  I hope everyone is having a fantastic day and enjoying their weather whatever season you are having. It has been in the 90's in the past few days; but we finally have fall weather today with rain.  Yeah!! I hope the hot weather stays away for a few months.  I love Fall and Spring.

Please continue to keep the people on the East Coast in your thoughts and prayers as they struggle to recover from Hurricane Sandy.  I lived in Pensacola, FL for many years and it is heartbreaking to have to live with the devastation you experience with any of these storm and their aftermath.

I am so excited!! I have been accepted as a member of the DT for Tammy's Scrapin Corner.  I have been wanting to apply for her team for several months and finally decided to go for it.  I applied late Sunday night before going to bed.  I was already scheduled to be a guest DT on Monday; so now it is official.  Join in the fun and enter her challenges every Monday.  They are so much fun!  Tammy and her DT team are awesome!!

I have been taking it slow creating the three different sets of cards with this wonderful cardmaking kit.  I cut them all out at the same time; but I am trying to make each card just a little different, either by adding something or by using a different ink color.  I like variety in life and I feel the same way about my creations.  I don't like creating two completely identical.  This is the 2nd of the 3 card styles in this cardmaking kit.  I hope you enjoy this one.

One regular card and one with green/red embossed for variety

Watch this video for CTMH Card Making Kits. The two card kits are Avonlea (Thank You) kit and Pear & Partridge (Christmas card) kit. The Pear & Partridge is perfect for making Christmas cards for your family and friends. I am currently making the Christmas cards and they are so easy to follow. Each kit makes 15 cards plus I have enough paper left over to make additional cards by using cardstock I have on hand. Both WOTG kits come with a D size stamp set and everything you need, including the cards and envelopes, to make these beautiful cards shown here.

Thank you for visiting my blog.  I appreciate your support and I love all the wonderful compliments.  I hope you will be inspired to create something.  It doesn't have to be cards.  Someday, I may surprise you and created something other than a card or Scrapbook pages.  I actually have created other things; but I wasn't impressed and didn't take pictures. LOL.  My niche seems to be in these two areas, not in 3D crafts.  Ha!  Have a wonderful week!

Christmas Cards Using CTMH Pear And Partridge Card Making Kit

Hello everyone!!  I am so sorry that the East coast was hit with such a terrible storm and my heart goes out to the families there who have lost loved ones, homes and so much more.  It is difficult to watch the heartache of these wonderful people and not be touched.  They are in my thoughts and prayers and I hope things get better for them soon.

I decided to create some Christmas cards using the CTMH Pear & Partridge Card Making Kit.  It includes cards/envelope, stamp set, paper and cardstock with embellishments to create 15 beautiful Christmas cards.  You can create several more cards using the left over materials and your own cardstock stash and cards with envelopes.  I haven't gotten that far yet; but many other consultants have made 8 - 10 additional cards with the scraps.  I will let you know how many I come up with when I am finished.

The kit contains 3 different styles and you create 5 of each style.  This is the first one I created; so I have 5 cards to share with you today.  I hope you enjoy my creations.  I like to add my own take on things; so I used a holly embossing folder on two of them, added a holly punch and used CTMH Cranberry ink rather than Cocoa ink to my cards.  I also forgot to ink the edges.  I was excited and got in too big of a hurry to get them done.  I also turned the bow around as I liked it better my way.  I was always a rebellious child.  LOL.  I made several mistakes in my hurry to get them done; so I plan to do the remainder at a more relaxed pace.  HA!!

I used CTMH Cocoa Ink on the card base on the left side per instructions; but I used CTMH Cranberry Ink for the sentiment.  All others I used the CTMH Cranberry Ink for the card base and for the sentiment.

Card base - Left one using CTMH Cocoa ink and right one using CTMH Cranberry ink.

I used the Sizzix Holly Embossing Folder on the red cardstock on these two; which I also made several mistakes.  I liked it better with the plain cardstock without the embossing.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog.  I hope my creations inspire you to create something for someone.  I appreciate all your wonderful compliments and will try to answer them within a few days.   Christmas is just around the corner and this is my first year to make Christmas cards.  I have a hard time giving people store bought cards after getting used to making all my cards.  I may still have to send them to some people; just because of the volume I send each year.  I hope someday to replace all the purchased cards for all hand made cards.  Have a fabulous weekend!!
