Hi friends and creators!! I hope you have had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the summer weather. I decided I needed to create a Boy Get Well Card to send with the Girl Get Well Card for the children at Shriner's Children's Hospital. In case you didn't see my little girl card; I have added the same information for anyone who might be interested in helping out by making a card for these kids.
A little 10 yr. old boy is collecting handmade
cards to deliver to the Shriner's Children's Hospital in September. He is
asking anyone who is willing to create cards to send them to him by Sept. 8,
2012. For more information, visit http://www.heartmadelife.com/selflessness/ where
you will find a note from his mom, a note from him with pictures and his
request. It is a very touching story about a little boy who has overcome his
own birth defects and wants to help other children.
I was so impressed that I decided to contribute to his cause. Check it out if you have time. There are instructions on what to create, no embellishments, glitter, etc due to these going to small children. That is why I have no embellishments on my card and no foam tape where the item could be pulled off. I already created this card before I read that they would like more encouragement cards; but hopefully this will work. I think it turned out very cute.
