New - Sister Act Card Challenge - DT Call

There's A New Kid (Blog) in town - starting soon - with "Anything Goes" Challenges every week!!

Welcome Jenny and Tricia!  We are so happy to have you as part of our blogging world.

Follow the Link Sister Act Card Challenge for more information
or enter for their Design Team
at Sister Act Card Challenge DT Call.  Good luck everyone.

I am excited to have this opportunity to apply for the DT and have chosen 3 of my favorite cards to enter.  I didn't realize how hard it would be to choose just 3 cards.  I think many of them become my favorites after I spend time making them.  I am sure that happens to all of you as well.

I chose a variety of different designs which include the Center Step Card, a regular card and a Magic Card.  I love all styles of cards; but I have to say my two favorites styles are the Center Step Card and the Magic Card.  They are so much fun to create.  I try to finish the inside of each card I create at the time I create it; so it is finished and ready to use.

My first card is a Center Step Card.  This card is combining many different dies together, a digi stamp as well as a CTMH stamped image.  I used the Cricut Artiste for the butterflies, Spellbinders for the frame and flower dies.  I also stamped the sentiment with CTMH Hooray Bouquet (retired stamp).

I chose my second card because I love the simple and elegant look of die cuts and punches on the same card.  I also used markers to color the image.  The image and sentiment are both digi stamps.

My 3rd choice is the Magic Card which I love for the elegance of the laced look edges and the simplicity of how it fits together. This was created for Thanksgiving using my Cricut Artiste for the outside sentiment, Cricut Art Philosophy for the flowers, digi for the pretty lady (already colored) and two digi stamps for the inside sentiments.

These are my 3 cards I have chosen which show both the outside and inside as well.  I am excited about this DT call and can't wait to see who is chosen to be part of this wonderful new team!!  No matter who is chosen; I know the team will be great with all of the awesome entries.  Good luck to everyone.

Center Step Card Using CTMH Flirty Paper and Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge - Damask Divas November Blog Hop

Hi all you wonderful crafters/creators out there!!  I am trying to create cards outside my comfort zone as I want to continue to learn and to grow in my creativity.  It is fun but stressful as well.  I am also trying to get better at coloring stamped and digital images.  I know it takes practice; so I keep pushing myself to choose images that challenge me.  I find it difficult to color the little things.  I wear reading glasses; but it is still challenging to see the intricate details.

I am practicing my coloring with our new CTMH alcohol based markers; which I love.  You receive two markers for only $5.95; which gives you the main color plus another marker that is either lighter or darker than the regular one.  This gives you two colors for shading; which takes the guesswork out of matching them.  See page 9 of the Autumn/Winter Idea Book/Catalog for details.  The markers match the paper packets, cardstock and ink colors; which make it easy to coordinate all your colors for any project you wish to create.

I decided to create my first center step card for our blog hop this month.  We are featuring the beautiful CTMH Flirty Paper Packet.  I love these colors and all the wonderful designs.  I hope you will take the time to visit my other teammates to see their wonderful creations.  If you came from  Marilyn's blog; then you are in the right place.  If not, you can start at the beginning by visiting Mandy's Blog.  Your next stop on the hop is Jeannie's blog.  Visit our Damask Divas blog for a complete line up of the participants for our monthly blog hop.  Have fun and enjoy the hop!!
