Encouragement Card Using CTMH Blossom Paper and Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

Hello to everyone in blogland.  I hope the weather has improved for all of you.  It is already hot here in Southern CA; but maybe we might still get some cooler weather.  We sure do need the rain.

It is time for another monthly challenge with DS4J Challenge 111 - Sketch.  I love using sketches.  They give you a starting point; but usually allow room to do your own thing. Sometimes my cards just design themselves and this was one of them.  I had new CTMH Blossom paper, a new punch and some new digis from DS4J that I wanted to use.  I couldn't believe how perfect this DS4J Fruit Bowl (Coloured) Digi was with this paper.  It was like it was meant to go together.

I created this card as a Welcome Home/Encouragement card for my mother.  She just got home from the nursing home last week and she is struggling to adjust.  She was told she needed to eat more fruit and vegetables; so I thought this was a perfect card for her.  The "Home Sweet Home" refers to coming home; as well as the fruit being "sweet".  How perfect is that! I really love the green with the orange color.

Sympathy Card Using Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

Hello Crafters!  I have not been able to do any crafting since before Christmas; but I have this card I created in November when we lost my sister-in-law.  I wish now I had embossed it first; but hindsight is always better.  LOL!

It is a New Year and a chance to start again or pick up where you left off for another fabulous year!  I am hoping this will be a better year for me with my health issues.  Always something new to look forward to and to be grateful.  I am very grateful that I feel as good as I do; but would love to feel better.  I am grateful for my life, my family, my friends in and out of Blog Land.  It is going to be a great year!

Hello to all my wonderful followers and talented crafting friends.  Welcome to our July Art Philosophy Blog Hop!!  Each month we will showcase a feature of the amazing Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge; which can be purchased exclusively through a Close To My Heart Independent Consultant.  We are so excited to be doing this hop.  We have a fabulous lineup with some very talented ladies.  There will be lots of fun projects.

This month we are showcasing the card feature.  Did you know there are 100 different card shapes you can make with this cartridge?   We won't be able to show you all of them; but we are showing you as many as we can.   If you came from Darla's blog; you are in the right place.  If not, please start at the beginning; which is Lucy's blog.  The next stop on your blog hop fun is Laura's blogSee the complete blog hop list below.

I created a card using a new stamp set I purchased last month.  I love these little Quick card stamp sets from CTMH.  It is the "Quick card - Shell" and has an awesome sentiment on it.  It says - "May you find life in simple beauty in unexpected places."  So simple, yet profound!!  I used Glitz - Stardust on the shell.

I used the beautiful CTMH Florentine Paper Packet.  It is one of my favorites.  I love the colors and all the different patterns in one packet.  It also includes plain cardstock to match as well. Here is the close up view of the inside of this card.  I used CTMH "Card Chatter - Sympathy" stamp set; which includes several nice sentiments to encourage others.

Close up of left side of card - "Just a note to brighten your day.....

(Inside right) and chase the clouds away"  The flowers and hearts were also created using papers in the Florentine Paper Packet and cut with the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge.
