Hi to all my wonderful friends in blogland. I just returned from a two week vacation to visit family in MO. We have never taken that long of a vacation before. I had planned on going to MS to watch my grandson's graduation; but I had some very rough times while there with my allergies; so we had to cancel that part of our trip. It is so hard to attend anything with even a few people; but graduations are even harder. I have an allergy to cologne, perfume, hairspray, deodorants; basically anything with a smell to it. I have difficulty breathing when exposed to any smells. I very rarely go into places that I can't control my environment; but it is so challenging for my family and friends to understand my problem. It causes a lot of hard feelings.
I am glad to be back in CA; as I have more control over my home and where I go. We have a few restaurants who allow me to sit in a corner away from people; so it makes it easier to go out. The restaurants in MO were very accommodating for me as well. We had a good time; and were able to rest a few days due to me not feeling well. It is always good to be home.
I hope everyone is doing well. We had really cool temperatures and lots of rain while we were staying in Branson, MO. I enjoyed it; and heard it was over 100 degrees here while we were gone. I was glad I was in MO. LOL! I prefer rain and cool temps over 100 degree weather.
My brother-in-law, Darrell, had high dose chemo and stem cell transplant last week for his cancer; so we really need your prayers for him. He has a slow recovery ahead; and then he has to do it all over again. It is pretty tough for him and his wife; as they are having to seek treatment in Indiana; rather than MO for this type of cancer treatment. We had also planned to spend a few days with them while we were there; but they were not able to be there due to his treatments.
I created this card for Digi Stamps 4 Joy - Challenge 92 - Anything Goes; before I left for vacation. I used DS4J Flower Frame Digi for this card. I fell in love with this Digi when I saw it. It could be used for any type of card. Be sure to check out the Mid-Challenge DT cards as well.
