Birthday Card with Ching-Chou Kuik Wishing Stars Using Cricut Cricut Artistry, Artbooking and Artiste Cartridges

Hello friends.  I hope you are staying cool.  I think it is still hot across the US.  I wish we could have spring or fall all year long.  It was cooler in LA area when I first moved here over 15 years ago; but I have watched the temperatures continue to climb each year.

It is time for another Ching-Chou Kuik Inspiration and today's inspiration is to "Create Your Own Background".  I haven't tried to create my own background for quite a while; so this was a challenge for me.  I think it takes us back to the basics; which I had forgotten how to do.  LOL! 

Today I have chosen the gorgeous Ching-Chou Kuik Wishing Stars. Isn't this a sweet gorgeous image?!  I created the immediate background with stamping and then used an Embossing folder for the paper behind that.

Thank You/Friend Card Using CTMH Calypso Paper, Thin Cuts, Stamp Set

Hello Friends.  I hope everyone is doing well.  It is still hot here in Southern CA; but some days it is in the upper 80's, 90's and others in the 100's.  It feels hot even in the house; which is odd.  We just had our air conditioner serviced; so it must be the heat.  

I have been wanting to create these Thank You/Friend Cards for a while now.  I am a little slow sometimes.  LOL!  Just too much going on with family, my mother passing away in April and many trips to MO; so haven't had enough time to create them.  Everything on this card is retiring the end of August except the CTMH Pixie cardstock, the CTMH card base and the black ink. The Cotton Candy ink will be retiring the end of July or while supplies last.  

I fell in love with this paper, complements, Flamingo stamp, Washi tape, Sequins and thin cuts as soon as I saw them in our CTMH Seasonal Expressions 2 Idea book.  I have bought several packages of all of them; so I wouldn't run out.  It will save you money to buy the entire paper set in the Workshops Your Way Calypso Scrapbooking Kit G1109.  The stamp set and thin cuts are sold separately.  I really love the stamp set; especially the sentiments. The thin cuts are fabulous and cut so easily!  I really hate to see them retire. They are so much fun to create with.
