Encouragement card Using The Paper Shelter "The Lantern"

Hello crafters.  I hope everyone is doing well today.   It has been in the 80's again this past few days in Southern CA.  I can't believe how warm it is already - in January.  January is usually our coldest month; but it happened a month earlier than normal.  

I am not sure who this card belongs to yet; but I loved this image and digi paper from The Paper Shelter and had to buy it.  Of course; with it being purple; there was no way to resist. LOL!  The image is pre-colored; so I just colored my stamped image on the inside/lower half of card.  I enjoy creating with colored images.  All their images also come in black and white; so that you can color them; as well as without the backgrounds.  I rarely use digi paper; but I love how Paper Shelter images match so perfectly with the backgrounds.  I have a hard time letting go of the gorgeous backgrounds.  They fit so perfectly together.  I usually end up feeling like I need to create using them just as they are.  One of these days I will have to color my own; but I so enjoy the colored ones.  

I created an Easel card using the image and paper from The Paper Shelter "The Lantern". I printed the image with background on CTMH White Daisy cardstock; which is the best cardstock I have ever used for making my digi images stand out with their true colors.  Be sure to check out The Paper Shelter Challenges on their blog.

Love Card Using DS4J Ellie's Flowers

DT Project for Digi Stamps 4 Joy  - Challenge 108 - Bingo

Hi to everyone in Blogland.  I still can't believe it is already the middle of January 2015. Where did 2014 go?  I always wonder why time feels like it flies even more as we get older.  It seemed to go so slow when I was younger and waiting for this to happen or a particular age; so I could do whatever I wanted to do at that time.  LOL!

I have chosen the adorable DS4J Ellie's Flowers for my creation.  I used the Bingo line of Die, Free and Favorite Thing.  I decided in my world that the elephant can be any color I want it to be.  LOL!  Be sure to go to our blog and check out all of the fabulous creations by the DT.  I am sending this to my mother; who is in a nursing home right now.  I thought it would cheer her up a little.  I increased her phone plan; so that she now has unlimited minutes and can talk to me each day; rather than worrying about going over on her minutes.  Yes; there are still plans with limited minutes.  LOL!
