Birthday Card for Male Using CTMH Tommy Paper and Cricut Artiste Cartridge

DT Project For Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #68 - Step Card

Hello to all my fellow crafters!  I hope everyone is doing well and finding time to craft.  I have been feeling under the weather with migraines; so it has been tough finding time that I actually feel like crafting.  I really want to create more, not less; but apparently the timing isn't right.  The weather is already hot here in Southern CA, in the 90's.  I hate to see what it is in July and August.

I am very excited about Challenge #68 at Tammy's Scrapin Corner this week.   This is my favorite card to create.  I just think there are so many options with a step card.  It is very easy to make once you start creating them.  I love the side step card the best - at least today.  LOL!!  I have the right to change my mind, don't I?  You know how we have a favorite scrapbooking item today and it changes again tomorrow when we find something else we love more. Our sponsors this week are Bugaboo and SK Digis

Our Guest Designer this week is Helen Nile.  Be sure to check out her blog as well as the other DT who work every week to provide you with inspiration for your crafting.  We would love to have you join us for another wonderful challenge.  If you haven't tried creating a step card, just try it.  You will be so glad you did.  Click on Side Step Card for a tutorial or Center Step Card if you prefer this one.
See my Tutorials Page for more free tutorials.

For my Side Step Card; I use a 6 x 12 page.  I use 1 inch for the first mountain fold (2 inches from one side or the other), then a valley fold at 2 inch for the second one (2 inches from same side as the first one).  Another mountain fold at 6 inches next to the 2 inches on the side.  I do another 2 inch mountain fold at 7 inches.  I use Norma's tutorial; but with measurements just a little different than the one's she shows on this tutorial.  I printed off the sketch and refer to it each time I make a Side Step Card.  I hope this helps to encourage you to try your hand at creating one of these beauties.  They are so much fun.

I used Bugaboo Edward Springtime for my image on this card.  I wanted one for a male; but I also wanted it a little quirky, not serious.  I love this CTMH Tommy Paper packet for male creations.  There are several wonderful designs in this paper pack; so be sure to check it out.  I love these Pinwheels made from the Cricut Artiste.  They actually work by using a brad in them.  Just don't place any glue or 3D foam tape in the way of the prongs; so they will move freely.  The buttons are a pretty shiny green with a flourish design on them; but they are not clear on these pictures.

Birthday Card Using CTMH Avonlea Paper Pack With Cricut Artiste and Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridges

DT Project For Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #67 - Anything With Wings

Hi to everyone.  I hope you are having a fabulous day!  The weather has been nice in Southern CA; but starting to get hot again.  I have been trying to get back into my normal routine after vacation; but everyone knows how hard that is to do.  I am waiting anxiously for my daughter to close on her house; which is scheduled for Monday.  I wish I could be there to help her move.  She is going to have her hands full with 4 kids, 3 dogs and 1 cat.  Their furniture and all their belongings are in a storage unit right now because the closing was delayed 2 weeks ago when they sold their current home.  I am so excited for her and her family.

It is time for another fabulous challenge at Tammy's Scrapin Corner #67 - Anything With Wings.  Be sure to check out the other creations and join the fun by entering our challenge.  If you would like to have a chance at the Guest Designer spot for a week; just add GDT behind your name when you enter.  Our sponsors this week are Eureka Stamps and Kenny K.  They have incredible Digi Stamps; so be sure to check out their stores.

I chose Kenny K Devilish Donna Precolored for my image this week.  I love this image and had to use it when I saw it.  I had a challenge with creating my card this week due to creator's block; which hasn't happened to me for a while.  You can get Devilish Donna with and without color.  I love having that option because you can use either one that suits your mood.  I decided to use all Digi sentiments inside and outside my card this time; and the best part is they were FREE from Hannelie at Desert Diva.  Check out her blog for more wonderful free Digi sentiments.

Father's Day Card Using Cricut Art Philosophy, Cricut Artiste and Cricut Mickey and Friends

DT Project For Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #66 - Anything Goes Manly Card/Father's Day

Hi to all my friends/fellow bloggers.  I missed a couple weeks of posting due to vacation.  We went to see my family in MO and spent some time at Branson as well.  We actually saw "The Texas Tenors" live in Branson.  They were originally on America's Got Talent and they are incredible singers.  We had our pictures taken with them and got their autographs.  We tried to see them two years ago; but they were on tour.  This time they were only there one night; so we took advantage of it.  We only had to move 4 times due to my allergy to perfumes/cologne/smells.  LOL!!  We were lucky it wasn't sold out.  Everyone loves to wear their perfumes/colognes when they go out; so I don't usually go anywhere like that.  My husband wanted to see them; so I decided to brave it and go with him.  It gets old telling him I can't go.

While we were there; we helped my daughter move her household goods into storage.  Her closing on her new house was delayed until sometime in June; so they had to move in with her 89 yr. old grandmother.  Can you imagine?  4 kids, 3 dogs and a cat moved in with this sweet little lady.  She seems to be enjoying herself despite the chaos to her normal life.

It is nice to be back.  I missed my blogging/crafting and all of your wonderful comments.  I am back in time to make my husband a Father's Day Card.  It is so hard to go that long without crafting.

It is time for another fabulous week at Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #66 - Masculine/Father's Day.  Our sponsor this week is SK Digis.  Check out their blog for wonderful Digi Stamps.  If you would like to be a Guest Designer; please add GDT behind your name when you enter.  We would love to have you join our team for a week.

I chose to use QKR Stampede All Tied Up.  I had seen this image previously and decided it would be cute for my husband a card.  I received a newsletter from PaperCrafts Magazine with free Digi stamps; so I used two of those as well.  Click above for the link.  I also used the Cricut Art Philosophy, Cricut Artiste and the Cricut Mickey and Friends for several die cuts.
