Mojo Monday 236 - Card made with scraps - Cricut Art Philosopohy Cartridge

Hi you lovely bloggers!  I hope you are having a wonderful day!! I am so grateful for all of your love and support.  I appreciate your lovely compliments on my blog.  Your cards and projects are such an inspiration to me.  I couldn't do this without all of you.  Knowing there are others who see my creations and who may be inspired by what I have created is what makes this so much fun.  I appreciate each and every one of you and your creations. 

I decided to try Mojo Monday challenge today as well as several others.  Using scraps of paper was a little more challenging than I thought.  I also decided to include the color scheme for PPA Color Challenge.  This is probably the most unusual card I have ever made  with the color scheme and the unusual combinations.  I love combining several challenges into one.  I think it involves a little more creativity and makes it so much more fun.  I only did one view of my card today since there isn't really any specific details that need to be shown.  Click on the card to see a closer view.

The sketch used to make this card is really a great sketch.  I am sure I will use it again.  I can think of several ways to make a card using this sketch.  Enjoy!!

I decided to use a sketch from Sweet stop sketches to create this card.  I love their sketches. They are so much fun.  Here is my card.  I love the "Everyday Life Stamp set" which is included in the Stella On The go Workshop.  This chair and the sentiment are just too cute.

I used the new CTMH "Dotty For You paper packet: for this card.  I also used Lagoon and Colonial White cardstock.  I used the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut the square and the oval for my stamped chair and sentiment.  The chair and sentiment are from "Everyday Life Stamps" which is part of "Stella Workshop On The Go"; which you will find on page 19 of the Spring/Summer Idea Book.  This is a closer view of the stamp, sentiment and the patterns in the paper.  There is a pattern in the paper with the butterflies.  I love this paper packet.  I have already ordered two of them as I know I will want to use it for a long time.  See how nicely the colors and patterns coordinate with each other.

Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge - Birthday card

Hi you wonderful bloggers out there!!!  Another Spring day in Southern CA and it is gorgeous outside.  Can't wait to get out there.  My 14 yr old grandson is visiting from MO and we are having a blast!!  I have to get up at 5 AM in order to get my cards and scrapbooking done.  Not much sleep this week; but it is so worth it to have him here.  We spent the afternoon yesterday just visiting high end car dealerships in Beverly Hills.  What an experience.  I didn't know there were so many expensive cars out there.  He is a walking fact machine for cars.  Knows everything about them.  He could sell all of them.  :)  Rodeo drive is always a hot spot for expensive cars as well. 

I used three different sketches this week and I think I was able to pull it off.  I entered this card in my 1st, 2nd and 3rd sketch challenges.  This was my 2nd entry for the 1st sketch.  I think I am getting the hang of it now.  Here is my "Happy Birthday" card using three sketches, dots/spots, stripes, pastels, never inked stamp, Spring and flowers.  Wow!! That was fun putting them all together.  I like combining my challenges.  This paper is very shiny and pretty; but the shine doesn't show up on the pictures for some reason.

This is my second entry into the sketch challenge seen below.  I think this card is pretty close to the same sketch as this one; so I decided to enter another one. 

 

I love the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut collection!!  You can create so many fun things for your cards and scrapbooking.  It has become my favorite cricut cartridge.  I used it for my flowers in 3 different sizes as well as the tag for the Happy Birthday stamp.  This is a closer view.  Click on the pictures to enlarge. 

The Happy Birthday stamp was made with my new Acrylix CTMH Card Word Puzzle Stamp Set which was part of the Pemberley Add-On selection that I purchased with my kit when I joined CTMH the end of March.  It has several words you can select and put together to create whatever you want to say.  They are small; but very clear.  I was very impressed with these stamp sets.

Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge - New CTMH Dotty Paper packet - Easter Card

Hello Fellow Bloggers.  It is another great Spring morning in Southern California.  I love it!  The birds are singing and Spring is in the air.

I chose to do an Easter - Spring card combo. I used the new "Dotty Paper packet" from CTMH. Isn't it beautiful? I love how they create paper packets that coordinate so well with each other. It takes the guesswork out of matching. It was a dream to cut using my Cricut.

This is the first card I have ever created from a sketch.  It was a fun challenge and I loved putting all the colors together.  The challenge is for "Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog".  This is the sketch we were to follow for our challenge this week.

I used my CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to make the circles and the scalloped border.  I used Cricut Kate's ABC's Cartridge to create the little rabbit and Happy Easter.  It came with the butterfly on the right and the little flowers.  This paper is such a high quality I was able to cut very small letters without them tearing.

Spring is in the air and it is gorgeous outside!!  I love this time of year.  Everything is beginning to bloom and it all looks so fresh and new. 

I created this card for "Craft Your Passion Challenge 103 - Monochromatic".  The challenge was to use shades of one color or black and white.  I wanted to try out another one of my stamps that came with my CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.

Thankful For You Card

I created this card as one of my first cards when I was trying out my new Recollections Chalk Ink pads.  I found it challenging to do the flower; but it didn't turn out too bad.  I thought the inside of the card was good; but the flower could be better.  The videos made it look so easy.  I just need more experience working with the chalk ink.  I thought I would share it with you.  I created this card before I got my Cricut Expression; which I absolutely love.  It is a simple card using scrapbook punches.

 

Front page of card.  Used Recollections basic white card - 6  1/2 by 5.  I found the larger cards are easier to work with than the little ones when you are adding a few layers.  The stamp was Stampendous Cling Jumbo Peony Set.

Some day I will practice more on this flower and see if I can get better in using the chalk ink.  If anyone has any tips; I would greatly appreciate it.  I have no problem with markers and colored pencils; but inks are a challenge to get the right amounts in the right places.  I know it is a learning process; but I love it and have to continue to try until perfection.  HA!

Cricut Create a Critter - Busy Bee Scrapbook layout

I like taking bright printed paper and creating my pages based on what looks good with that particular page.  I then create headers and phrases based on the idea that I chose for the page.  This is a page of Sunflowers and I wanted something other than Butterflies.  I love butterflies and use them a lot; but I wanted something different.  I wanted to use my Cricut cartridges to make a center piece for this page.  It can be used for a child, a woman, or anyone you feel is very busy in their lives; which is all of us.  HA!

This is a simple basic layout; but I wanted to share it with you.  I don't feel I have to do extravagant layouts.  I lean more towards simplistic layouts that demonstrate fun and color. 

  

I would love for you to comment and include the link to your website with a simple basic layout for all of us to ogle over or anything else you want to share.   I think sharing generates more creativity.
