Hello card Using CTMH NEW Seaside Paper and Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

Hello to all of my followers!  It has been super hot here in Southern CA; as I know it has been over most of US.  I can't believe it is almost the end of July.  My brother in law, Darrell, is gradually getting his strength back; but still trying to heal after his stem cell transplant for his cancer.  It is a very slow recovery process.  I appreciate all of your prayers for him and my sister Becky.

I found out I have GERD/Acid Reflux and have been in severe pain for 6 weeks.  I had been to my dentist plus two physicians before they figured out what was wrong.  It started in my mouth; rather than in my stomach.  It then traveled to my throat and then to my esophagus.  I never realized something like this could be so painful.  I started on medication; and I hope it starts working soon.  I try to keep busy with creating cards; which distracts me from my pain.  Unfortunately; working on the computer isn't as distracting as I would like it to be.

I made this card for my other sister, Alice and her husband Kenny.  When Alice thinks someone isn't listening to her; she says "Hel------loooooo!" to get their attention.  She did that with us one time we were visiting and so now we say that to each other; when we want someones attention.  It is hard to get a large group of people to listen; when several of us are together.  It is very hilarious when she says it; so I thought this would be a cute card to send her and her husband.

I used an old sketch from Mojo Monday 242.  I used our New CTMH Seaside paper; which will be available August 1, 2014.  I also used the NEW CTMH Glacier cardstock.  We have 5 new colors and they are just gorgeous!

    1. Hi Gloria! Your card is adorable and I loved the story behind it, lol. She's going to love it! So sorry you're having so much pain ... hopefully they put you on the little purple pill (nexium) ... worked great for my hubby. Speaking of my hubby, he had his stem cell transplant 5 years ago and it not only saved his life, he's doing great! Please tell your sister & BIL to 'hang in there' ... it's a difficult journey ... but SO WORTH IT! I will say a prayer for them as so many of my online friends did for us during Mark's cancer journey!
Thanks so much for joining us at The Sisterhood’s ‘DIES and/or PUNCHES’ challenge and please come back again soon!

    2. Thanks so much Darlene. They tried me on one pill for three days; which made the pain worse; and now I have a 24 hr pill; which isn't working too well yet. Maybe I better ask for the Nexium. Thanks for the information. I appreciate your prayers and will pass the word along to my sister and BIL. I am so glad Mark is doing well. Hugs, Gloria
