Christmas Card Using Cricut Artiste, Cricut Artbooking and Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridges

Hi all you beautiful readers out there!  I hope everyone is doing well.  I don't know if you have heard about the new Cricut Explore; but I love it.  I haven't had much time to play with it; but when I have; it cuts fabulously.  I had problems on my Cricut Expression; with some of my paper tearing on the really intricate designs; and this Cricut Explore cuts it like butter.  It is so smooth.  I tried it one time to write on a card; and it does such a wonderful job.  I am not selling them or working for the company.  I wanted to share this with you if you haven't had time to check it out yet.

In the beginning; I was totally against buying something I had to use with a computer; but a lot of my friends bought it and they couldn't stop raving about it.  I finally decided to watch the videos and I fell in love again!  LOL!

My Top 5 reasons for buying a Cricut Explore:
1.  It saves time in designing your card first;before cutting a hundred pieces to see what works.
2.  It keeps all your images in one place for all the Cricut cartridges that you own; making it easier to        see what you have available. (I found ones I swear I have never seen before.  LOL!)
3.  You can write and cut without changing the blade.
4.  You can add images from multiple cartridges all on one mat; and you don't have to change the            cartridge each time you want to switch between cartridges.
5.  Dial for paper/material choices.  No trying to figure out what pressure and speed you want to cut        those intricate cuts.

My top two pieces of equipment I feel every crafter should have are:
1.  Cricut Explore
2.  EBosser (It cuts and embosses all in one machine - electric)

My top 3 Cricut Cartridges that I think everyone should own are:
1.  Cricut Art Philosophy
2.  Cricut Artiste
3.  Cricut Artbooking; in that order.

I joined CTMH because of the fabulous Cricut Art Philosophy Collection; and have never regretted it!  With 700 images on this cartridge; you get more for your money than any other cartridge out there.  It you had to pay the .99 for each image charged by Cricut; that would be $700 for each one of the CTMH cartridges.  LOL!

For the month of April 2014 only: you can join my CTMH team for only $99 (Kit retail - $309) and receive a FREE Cricut Collection of your choice.  Choose between the Cricut Art Philosophy, Cricut Artiste and Cricut Artbooking - retail $99.  See tabs above to review each of these Cricut cartridges.
You are paying $99 for approx. $408 retail value!  How much better can it get. I am available to work with you one on one for training; if you want it; or choose many training classes online to fit your own schedule.  See tab for more information on joining my CTMH team at http://purpleglocreations.blogspot.com/p/join-fun.html

I have created another Christmas card for Digi Stamps 4 Joy 2014 Christmas Challenge.  Check it out.  When you use their FREE image; enter your creation in their challenge; you receive the next month FREE image.  Isn't that fabulous!  The Digital image for March is the collage of words on the right of this card.  I printed it on one of the paper pack included with CTMH Pear & Partridge Paper Pack (retired).

  5. Hi Gloria, Love your card but these sort of machines are not for me. I struggled when I first bought a Cuttlebug. I sell my cards for charity and they are stamped, 'hand made'. My head was telling me, if I used a machine to cut shapes, then they are not hand made. I got to grips with that by thinking of it as a tool, like scissors. A Cricut Explore is too far away from hand made, for my brain to deal with!! I now have a Joy machine but can't take the next step! Mad I know but that's just me!!LOl! Hugs, Carol S.xx

    1. I felt the same way when I first started; but it is just like buying a die; but you can cut out so much more. It is still homemade; as you are cutting out all the cute dies and creating the card yourself. It isn't store made. LOL! Maybe some day you will get over that idea. I had to; because I felt that way about Digis when I first started too. I see things differently now. Also, I am really bad at cutting things out by hand. People wouldn't want me hand cut items on a card. LOL! Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment. Have a great day! Hugs.

  18. Fabulous Christmas card Gloria. I just love that you changed the print color on the DS4J Christmas paper (I really need to learn how to do that lol) and then printed it on that gorgeous dp. and all of those wonderful die cuts finish it off just beautifully. Hugs ~ Charlene

    1. Hi Charlene, Thanks for the lovely compliment. I copy and paste the image (collage) to word; then right click on it, click format picture, click on picture color on the list, then click on the little box (presets) next to recolor or one of those and it pops up with possible colors to change it to. Click on color you want to change it to and click close. It should now be that color. If you want to go back to the original color; go back same way and click reset. Hope this helps. Hugs. Gloria
