Center Step Card Using CTMH Flirty Paper and Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge - Damask Divas November Blog Hop

Hi all you wonderful crafters/creators out there!!  I am trying to create cards outside my comfort zone as I want to continue to learn and to grow in my creativity.  It is fun but stressful as well.  I am also trying to get better at coloring stamped and digital images.  I know it takes practice; so I keep pushing myself to choose images that challenge me.  I find it difficult to color the little things.  I wear reading glasses; but it is still challenging to see the intricate details.

I am practicing my coloring with our new CTMH alcohol based markers; which I love.  You receive two markers for only $5.95; which gives you the main color plus another marker that is either lighter or darker than the regular one.  This gives you two colors for shading; which takes the guesswork out of matching them.  See page 9 of the Autumn/Winter Idea Book/Catalog for details.  The markers match the paper packets, cardstock and ink colors; which make it easy to coordinate all your colors for any project you wish to create.

I decided to create my first center step card for our blog hop this month.  We are featuring the beautiful CTMH Flirty Paper Packet.  I love these colors and all the wonderful designs.  I hope you will take the time to visit my other teammates to see their wonderful creations.  If you came from  Marilyn's blog; then you are in the right place.  If not, you can start at the beginning by visiting Mandy's Blog.  Your next stop on the hop is Jeannie's blog.  Visit our Damask Divas blog for a complete line up of the participants for our monthly blog hop.  Have fun and enjoy the hop!!

She is the Queen of center step and side step cards. I love her work and I know you will too.  She has tutorials on her blog as well.

Multi-Fold Card For Any Occasion Using Cricut Artiste Cartridge

Hello to everyone who reads this blog post.  I am happy to be able to show you another creation of mine using the Cricut Artiste Cartridge.  I completed this about a month ago before vacation; but haven't had time to do the post for it.  I struggled with making this card.  I saw this several months ago and really wanted to try it; but it was harder than I thought it would be.  Try it for fun the first time with paper that you don't mind practicing with.

I found the tutorial for this card posted by Marianne at http://stampartic.blogspot.com/2010/11/folding-card-tutorial.html.  It can be used for any occasion.  I plan to try it again sometime when I have more time.  I hope you enjoy this card.  I had a challenge with the heart border on the outside as it tore very easily.  I purchased a couple others to try for the next time.  Scroll down for a copy of the two from the tutorial.  I think they look so elegant.

I left the middle blank as I haven't decided what to use for the sentiment yet.

Thank You Cards Using CTMH Florentine Paper and Cricut Artiste Cartridge

Hello.  It has finally cooled off in Southern California.  I hope everyone reading this post is having a fantastic day!!  It was 101 on Wednesday and now it is in the 60's.  I am so excited to have cooler weather.

I created a couple Thank You cards I wanted to share with you.  I decided to get my Cuttlebug out of the closet and do some embossing.  I bought a few new 5 x 7 embossing folders and was excited to try them out.  It had been a while since I had used my Cuttlebug when I started these two cards.  Before I was finished making these two; I used it on several other cards I was working on.  I forgot how pretty the cards look when using the embossing folders.  I used  CTMH Florentine Paper Packet for both cards.  This is one of my favorite paper packets.  I love how you can use the same paper packets and create very different cards.

Birthday Card for Male Using Cricut Artiste

Hello everyone.  We finally got a little rain last Thursday; but not enough.  I never heard any thunder; which I was looking forward to.  It is sunny and getting warm again in Southern California.  I am ready for fall weather.  I like the cooler weather; but not cold.  I hope everyone is enjoying whatever your temperatures are right now.  It is a lovely time of the year no matter where you are.  I love the changing of the leaves.  Nature is so awesome!!

I have been wanting to try the new CTMH alcohol based markers and finally got my chance.  I fell in love with this September Stamp of the Month; so I finally got mine and found time to use it.  I used the new markers and I love them.  They are so easy to work with and such pretty colors.  I love that I can match the marker colors to the ink and to the cardstock where everything coordinates so well together.  I was very happy with the way this turned out.  I made this for my brother-in-law; so I hope he likes it.  I hope you enjoy it as well.

I used a card created by Brenda Rose, a CTMH consultant as my guide for creating and coloring this card.  Thanks so much Brenda for the inspiration.
