Hello to everyone who reads this blog post. I am happy to be able to show you another creation of mine using the Cricut Artiste Cartridge. I completed this about a month ago before vacation; but haven't had time to do the post for it. I struggled with making this card. I saw this several months ago and really wanted to try it; but it was harder than I thought it would be. Try it for fun the first time with paper that you don't mind practicing with.
I found the tutorial for this card posted by Marianne at http://stampartic.blogspot.com/2010/11/folding-card-tutorial.html. It can be used for any occasion. I plan to try it again sometime when I have more time. I hope you enjoy this card. I had a challenge with the heart border on the outside as it tore very easily. I purchased a couple others to try for the next time. Scroll down for a copy of the two from the tutorial. I think they look so elegant.
Inside of Card showing all the multi-folds and patterned papers I used.
I left the middle blank as I haven't decided what to use for the sentiment yet.

ReplyDeleteHi Jules, Thank you for your wonderful compliment. It was a complicated card; but I am sure would be easier the second time around. I was trying to do something outside my comfort zone. You have to change the language to English and I had to make more sets than it actually called for in the triangles. It is easier to use several different patterns of paper. I will try it a little differently on my next one. The paper needs to be thinner because of the layering in order to make it lay down. I would love to see it when you get it done. Good luck Jules. Have a fabulous week!! Hugs, Gloria
DeleteHi Gloria, The cards are all stunning. I love kinetic cards but even for me, this looks complicated! Great for a very special person! Hugs, Carol S.xx
