DT Project For Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #77- Anything Goes

 

Hello to all my friends/followers and fellow crafters!  It is so good to have you visit again.  I really look forward to your questions, comments, etc.  I answer all questions and try to comment on as many entries as I can; but time flies and I don't always get to acknowledge all of you.  I wish we could sit down together and have an old fashion chat, drink a cup of tea and just enjoy each other's company.  Maybe do a little Scrapbooking, Cardmaking, or whatever craft we wanted to create that day.  Wouldn't that be fun? 

 

I have met many people online and have become good friends with several of you.  I enjoy our friendship; whether it be on the phone, texting, emailing or just commenting back and forth on the blog.  It is a great community of crafters and I cherish each of you.  I feel as if I know many of you already.  Isn't it great that we can do that; even with people who don't speak our language?  I love it.  Who would have ever thought we would be able to chat, email or contact others in another country who didn't speak our language and yet have something in common?  Amazing, isn't it?  I feel this is a fabulous support system.  Sometimes these relationships can be more meaningful than our own blood relatives.  I know we have more in common at times.

I decided to use a Meljen's Designs Cozy Winter Owl; because I fell in love with it the first time I saw it.  It was so much fun to work with.  I decided to create a Christmas card.  I am really shocked that I actually created a Christmas card in August.  That is very unusual for me.  I also was able to create snow to add to the branch.  I used a new Blue Hills Multi Shaper Punch - Tiara for the border.   I really love these punches.  I have added all of the information to my Video page at the top of the blog if you want to check out the videos and online sites to order them.

Thank You Cards Using CTMH "For Always" Paper and Cricut Artbooking Cartridge

Hello fellow crafters.  I hope everyone is doing good and enjoying the remainder of the summer weather before it turns fall.  I am ready for cooler weather; but I don't really feel I did much this summer outside due to the heat.  I haven't made it to the beach at all this summer.  I usually like to go there in the spring and fall; because there are less people.  Having to deal with the smells of sunscreen, cologne, perfumes, etc. makes it very challenging for me to take a walk on the beach when it is full of people. 

 

I created a video on my YouTube channel for these cards; if you would like to watch it.  They are very simple cards; but so elegant.  I have shared a few from this paper pack in the past; but this time I used the Cricut Artbooking cartridge to create a border; which adds even more to them.  You could change the stamp and use this card for any occasion that you needed including birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, congratulations, encouragement, inspirational, baby card or sympathy card.

Birthday Card Using Cricut Art Philosophy, Cricut Artbooking, Nate's ABC's and Kate's ABC's

DT Project For Tammy's Scrapin Corner Challenge #76 - Theme is Image Containing Food

Hello to all my crafting friends.  It has been very hot here in Southern CA.  I hope it cools down soon.  I hope all of you are having a fabulous summer and enjoying the weather wherever you are.  I never seem to have enough time to get everything done that I would like to do.  I think I got more done when I was a mother of 3 and working full time than I do now.  LOL!  I think we learned how to juggle it all and had a lot more energy.  I am in awe of so many of you mothers that you find time to actually create things.  That is amazing to me.  I didn't start this until several years after my kids were moved out and had families of their own.  My oldest granddaughter is 21 years old and my youngest grandson is 10 years old.  My daughter has 4 kids and works and finds time to take care of her grandmother.  I don't know how she does it all.

It is a very sad day for myself and my family.  My sweet, precious, ex-mother-in-law passed away last night in MO.  She was my children's father's mother.  So sad.   She would have been 90 in Dec.  She had a mild stroke a week ago and seemed to be doing really good; but took a turn for the worse on Friday night.  I will not be able to attend the funeral; which is very heartbreaking for me; but not much I can do about it.  She had lived alone until this happened.  She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.  She passed away on one of my grand-daughter's birthday-Abigail.  I made this card for Abigail.   Please say a prayer for myself and the family.

I chose Eureka Stamps - Pumpkin Racoon for my card this week.  Raccoon is actually spelled with 2 c's; but it is only spelled racoon in their shop.  I love this stamp.   I used the Cricut Art Philosophy for the die cuts on my card this week.   I decided to create a birthday card for my granddaughter with this one.  I love the dragonflies on this background paper with the combination of orange and green together. 

I used a sketch from Sketches By Carly from last August, 2012.   I was on their Design team before they discontinued it and I have a lot of their sketches.   I loved working with Carly.  She is very creative.  I hope you enjoy it.  I also used a stamp set inside that I won from Your Next Stamp. (Whatnot Sentiments One-KWS01).

Guest Designer for Use It Tuesday for August 13, 2013

Use An Un-inked Stamp

 

Hello to all my crafting friends.  I am so delighted that you are visiting my blog today.  I am here to share a creation of mine as Guest Designer for Use It Tuesday.  I love having a challenge that requires you to use up your old stash.  This one was easy for me; because I have a lot of un-inked stamps.  I buy them and never have time to use them all or I don't have any occasion to use them; like this one. 

 

My best friend from Junior high just became a grandmother and I finally had a chance to use my baby stamp set.  There haven't been any girls born in her family for 62 years; and they finally got the first baby girl!  All boys for the past 62 yrs.  Can you believe that?  You talk about excited.  Plus - it is her first grandchild.  So - I combined Congrats for the new baby from the grandmother side of it.  This is a very important day in so many ways.  I am so happy for her and her family.   I had to use pink since this was such a very special occasion.  I haven't bought baby paper for quite a while; because I haven't needed any since I started making cards.  The photo doesn't do these colors justice.  It is mostly pink with a light yellow background and is a gorgeous paper.  The buttons and bling are also pink. 

I just found out recently that I am going to be a Great-grandmother to my step-granddaughter's baby.  She is due the end of January.  I am not really old enough to be a Great Grandmother.  LOL!!  I don't think it has hit me yet; but it will be fun when it happens.  She is in Mississippi; so it will be hard to see the new baby except on the Internet.

So sorry that my pictures are not very clear.  This paper does not like to be photographed.  LOL.
