Hello friends. I can't
believe it is almost Thanksgiving in the US. I wish I could go home to MO for Thanksgiving with my family; but that isn't possible with all of my allergies to smells. I miss my moms turkey, dressing and mashed potatoes. I tried to talk her into cooking it when she was here last year in February; but it didn't happen. She is 81 years old now; and someone else will be cooking the Thanksgiving meal this year. I think that is a great idea. She has been fixing Thanksgiving dinner for 64 yrs. Can you believe that?
It has turned cold for most of the US. I told my mom she should go ahead and fly out here to enjoy my warmer weather in Southern CA; but it would still feel cold to her. She has been flying out here to stay for a month or more; with my husband and I, every year since my father passed away in 2009. She wasn't able to fly out this year, due to her health. I am hoping that she can visit in 2015. We have so much fun when she is here, eating all the things we aren't supposed to, etc. It's always more fun doing things you are supposed to when you can share it with someone else. LOL! Spending time with my mother is so special for me! MO weather is just too cold for me right now.
I was playing with my Cricut Explore again; trying to create more cards for my Cricut Artfully Sent video earlier in the month; after my family went home. I used two cards to create this card. One card for the outside and another for the floral pop up card with card base. It is the first card I have created in November. My husband thought it would be a good idea for me to take a break; due to my health.
We were supposed to take a driving vacation to Oregon the last two weeks of November; but I am not able to do it; so we are taking a vacation at home. We are hoping I feel like getting out to enjoy a few things nearby; but I haven't been able to so far. We did go out to eat on Saturday; to our favorite new (discovered one month ago) restaurant that serves over 60 different kinds of pancakes. We tried a couple different pasta dishes; and I got an order of Green Tea Tiramisu pancakes to take home with me. They are my favorites now.

My New Cricut Artfully Sent
Creating Cards Part 1 Video
I
love this new cartridge! I am sold on all of the Close To My Heart Cartridges. This newest one is a card lovers dream. If you
have the Cricut Explore; I think it is even more fun; once you figure out how to
work with it. All the cards are in one piece. You need to resize the entire
card; change colors of the pieces by ungrouping; if you want to change them; or
just click Go and figure out the colors as you change the mats. So easy! My
Cricut Explore was a fabulous investment for me. It has saved me so much time;
and advanced my creativity to a new level. I still like to add things to the
cards sometimes; and I love changing the inside of the card to the one that I
want.
Just
use the square or rectangle on either the Cricut Art Philosophy or Cricut
Artiste cartridge for the inside piece and add whatever you want to it. The Art
Philosophy square and rectangle have rounded corner and the Artiste has square
corners. You can also mix and match the inside pieces from other cards on this
cartridge. You just have to ungroup and click on them to hide the pieces you
don't need or don't want
to cut. You can write words or cut words; depending on your preference.
Be
sure to check on my sidebar for the picture of a Cricut handbook page, titled
Cricut Explore Design Space. Click the picture to find the codes to use in the
Cricut Design Space for all 4 of our CTMH Cricut Cartridges. The Cricut Art
Philosophy, Cricut Artiste, Cricut Artbooking and Cricut Artfully Sent. It is
much easier to enter the codes; than searching for the individual pictures. See
the titles at the top of Narelle's page for the codes. You must enter the number
sign and the full code for it to work.
