Encouragement Card for Damask Divas Blog Hop Using Clementine Paper Packet and Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

Hi fellow crafters!!  I hope everyone is having a great week with fun plans for the weekend.  It has been very hot in Southern California; but at least we aren't dealing with a hurricane like the southern states.

Welcome to our Damask Divas September blog hop; which starts September 1st.  If you came from Mandy's blog, you are in the right place.  If you arrived here and have just discovered our blog hop; please check the complete list at Damask Divas blog for blog hop participants.  There will be a giveaway with a drawing for those who register on our Damask Divas blog.

I used the sketch from Mojo Monday 256 for my card.  I love Clementine paper packet.  It is very colorful; but at least everything goes together when using the different patterned papers with CTMH products.  Here is my encouragement card that I created for a friend.

Sketches By Carly Using Carly's Cuties

Hello friends, followers and fellow crafters!!  I hope it has been a good week for everyone.  It  has been very hot here in Southern California; but no complaints.   I would rather be here than dealing with the hurricane in the south.  I lived in Florida for eight years and saw a lot of hurricanes; so I know what they are going through each time one hits.  My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you who are dealing with bad weather right now.

Today is a new Sketch with Sketches by Carly.  I am so happy to announce that I am now part of the DT rather than a Guest Designer.  I am using one of Carly's Cuties titled "Carly's Puppy" on my card.  Check out Carly's cuties here and check out her special.  Carly is 13 yrs old and loves to draw.  She creates the sketches for the blog Sketches by Carly.  This is the first time I have had the honor of using one of her digi creations.  I hope my coloring makes her proud; as I am still learning.  Digi's are a whole new world for me and I am having a blast!!

The sponsor for this week Sketches by Carly is Kelly Little.  Create your card using Carly's sketch and enter to win a package of free stamps.

Get Well Card for Boy Using Cricut Art Philosopy and Cricut Artiste Cartridges

Hi friends and creators!! I hope you have had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the summer weather.  I decided I needed to create a Boy Get Well Card to send with the Girl Get Well Card for the children at Shriner's Children's Hospital.  In case you didn't see my little girl card; I have added the same information for anyone who might be interested in helping out by making a card for these kids.

A little 10 yr. old boy is collecting handmade cards to deliver to the Shriner's Children's Hospital in September. He is asking anyone who is willing to create cards to send them to him by Sept. 8, 2012. For more information, visit http://www.heartmadelife.com/selflessness/ where you will find a note from his mom, a note from him with pictures and his request. It is a very touching story about a little boy who has overcome his own birth defects and wants to help other children.

I was so impressed that I decided to contribute to his cause. Check it out if you have time. There are instructions on what to create, no embellishments, glitter, etc due to these going to small children. That is why I have no embellishments on my card and no foam tape where the item could be pulled off. I already created this card before I read that they would like more encouragement cards; but hopefully this will work. I think it turned out very cute.

The free little boy is a digital stamp from Bodilsscrapeverden blogspot. Isn't he adorable?  The turtle is a free digi stamp from Birdscards.com. I used the sketch from Mojo Monday 255 for inspiration; but didn't make it exactly the way it was sketched.  I also didn't get it posted in time to enter into Mojo Monday; but I was inspired by their sketch; so I felt I should mention it here.

Get Well Card For Mojo Monday Using Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

Hi all you wonderful crafters and followers.  I hope you are having a great day.  It has cooled off a little for a few days in Southern California; so I am trying to enjoy the weather.  It will be hot again in a few days.  I am recovering from my bicycle wreck and actually rode my bike again today.  My knee is still stiff and I have a bruise halfway down my leg; but it is getting better.  I had to get back on my bike again or allow the fear to get the better of me.

I created a card for a child in the Shriner's Children's Hospital.

Thank You Card Using Stella Paper Packet and Cricut Artiste Collection

Hello to all my blogging and crafting friends.  I have been staying inside most of the week due to the extreme hot weather here in Southern CA.  I hope everyone is staying cool.  I tried to go bike riding early yesterday morning and I had a bike wreck.  Not sure how it happened.  I forgot how badly a fall can make you feel.  I ache all over; but I want to get this post done before resting.

I created a Thank You card for my Mojo Monday card this week.  I am a little late in getting it on here.  I used CTMH Stella Paper Packet and a couple different stamp sets.  I used the new Cricut Artiste Collection stamps for the outside sentiment and the Cricut Artiste Cartridge for the sentiment accent.  I used the Cricut Art Philosophy Collection stamp set for the inside sentiment.  The cute little gnome and mushroom are from CTMH "Gnome Garden" which is retired now.  I love that stamp set and thought it would be cute on a Thank you card.

Sketches By Carly Using "It's Your Day" Stamp Set, Cricut Art Philosophy and Cricut Artiste

Hi to my fellow crafters.  It's time for another Sketches By Carly.  I love Carly's sketches and love having a new one every two weeks.  If you haven't joined in the fun; there are lots of fantastic prizes every two weeks.  We are sponsored this week by Sweet N Sassy stamps.  I love this cute little mouse image.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it.  This card is for my grandson who will be 17 yrs old.  I tried to make it fun and not childish.

I wanted to create a card using the new "It's Your Day" Double "D" stamp set that is now available for only $5 with a $35 purchase.  (Retail $35.90)  It is 2 "D" stamp sets and is fabulous!!  There are so many things you can do with this stamp set.  Click here for the video using this stamp set and the new Cricut Artiste Cartridge to create the inside of this card.  Click her for a CTMH video using this stamp set for scrapbooking layouts.

I pictured this little mouse on an adventure through the pumpkin patch and through life; so I used that theme to create this birthday card.  The image is "Cocoa's Pumpkin" from Sweet N Sassy Stamps.  I hope you enjoy my card.
