Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge -You Touch So Many Lives Card

Spring is in the air and it is gorgeous outside!!  I love this time of year.  Everything is beginning to bloom and it all looks so fresh and new.

I created this card for "Craft Your Passion Challenge 103 - Monochromatic".  The challenge was to use shades of one color or black and white.  I wanted to try out another one of my stamps that came with my CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge.

I liked the look of spring and community in the picture.  I love nature.  I have been wanting to use this cardstock with this cute little design, so here it is.   You can double click on the picture to get a closer view of the card.  The picture isn't blurry.  The design in the paper makes it appear that way.

I love my CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  This cartridge has approximately 700 images which includes cards, tags, borders, font, 3D items, dimensional flowers and more.  Many of the images coordinate with a selection of Close To My Heart My Acrylix® stamps; which will make stamping your projects faster, simpler and easier.

It has 6 different dimensional flowers.  It is a cartridge you will use over and over again.  A "must have "for your Cricut Collection.  The Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge is part of a Close To My Heart Collection (CTMH)  that can only be purchased through a CTMH consultant.  You can get it FREE for the next four days (March) by joining My Team (here) as a Close To My Heart Independent Consultant.  See more information below.

I purchased the Art Philosophy collection over a month ago and fell in love with it and the wonderful stamp sets which coordinate so nicely with this cartridge. I want to make sure everyone knows about this collection because I know everyone who buys it will love it.

You cut the shape at the designated size on the stamp label with your Cricut and it will fit perfectly with the CTMH stamp designed to go with it.  I cut a larger one in the black and white dotted paper to match the outer edge paper.

I wanted you to see the picture a little closer; but you can barely make out the outline of the horse pulling the carriage in front of the people.  The paper is made that way with just a hint of some of the items surrounding the people.

You can purchase the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Collection for $99.00 (here).  It includes the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge, 3 CTMH exclusive stamp sets and 3 dimensional  elements chipboard sheets that coordinate with the shapes on the cartridge -  OR EVEN BETTER - You can get this collection free through March if you Join My Team. Click (here) for more information or to join. Scroll down that page to see the kit with the products you will receive and more. You pay only $99.00 to join. You can call me if you have any questions.   You receive $300 of free products in your kit and a choice of the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut collection or $100 in additional free products.  The choice is yours.

What a deal for $99.00 - you receive $400 in products free; plus discounts on your future purchases.  There is NO OBLIGATION to sell and NO PENALTIES if you decide it isn't for you and you get to keep the kit and the free CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut collection or the $100 in free product; whichever one you choose.

Another great benefit of joining CTMH is all the free classes you can take from beginner to advanced.  The classes are worth the $99 without any of the free products.  I don't know anywhere else that you can get $400 in products for only $99 It is a sweet deal.   I joined because of this great deal.  I chose the $100 free products since I already owned the Art Philosophy collection.  I knew I would use the $400 in products no matter what else I did with it.

Thankful For You Card

I created this card as one of my first cards when I was trying out my new Recollections Chalk Ink pads.  I found it challenging to do the flower; but it didn't turn out too bad.  I thought the inside of the card was good; but the flower could be better.  The videos made it look so easy.  I just need more experience working with the chalk ink.  I thought I would share it with you.  I created this card before I got my Cricut Expression; which I absolutely love.  It is a simple card using scrapbook punches.

Front page of card.  Used Recollections basic white card - 6  1/2 by 5.  I found the larger cards are easier to work with than the little ones when you are adding a few layers.  The stamp was Stampendous Cling Jumbo Peony Set.

This is an inside view of the card.

Supplies used for this card:

Card - Recollections basic white 6 1/2 X 5 card
Flower - Stampendous Cling Jumbo Peony Set
Ink - Versamark; Recollections Chalk Ink pads - colors Seafoam, Tutu and Breeze
Paper for front - Martha Stewart Essential paper pad
Brads for front - not sure of the brand
Cardstock - Recollections
Paper for inside - Pink marble 24 lb. copy paper
Quotes - Hot Off the Press 1000 card quotes
Scrapbook punches - Little flower - Recollections; Dragonfly - Marvy Uchida; Little butterflies - Martha Stewart; Large butterflies - EK 3 in one punch; Edger - Recollections
Foam mounting tape for large butterfly and little flowers

Some day I will practice more on this flower and see if I can get better in using the chalk ink.  If anyone has any tips; I would greatly appreciate it.  I have no problem with markers and colored pencils; but inks are a challenge to get the right amounts in the right places.  I know it is a learning process; but I love it and have to continue to try until perfection.  HA!

Thank you for stopping by.  Please leave a comment.  I welcome any tips you might have.  You can leave them under comments or email me at purpleglo13@gmail.com.

Have a great day and keep on creating.  I love reading your blogs.

Cricut Create a Critter - Busy Bee Scrapbook layout

I like taking bright printed paper and creating my pages based on what looks good with that particular page.  I then create headers and phrases based on the idea that I chose for the page.  This is a page of Sunflowers and I wanted something other than Butterflies.  I love butterflies and use them a lot; but I wanted something different.  I wanted to use my Cricut cartridges to make a center piece for this page.  It can be used for a child, a woman, or anyone you feel is very busy in their lives; which is all of us.  HA!

This is a simple basic layout; but I wanted to share it with you.  I don't feel I have to do extravagant layouts.  I lean more towards simplistic layouts that demonstrate fun and color.

I would love for you to comment and include the link to your website with a simple basic layout for all of us to ogle over or anything else you want to share.   I think sharing generates more creativity.

Supplies used for layout page:

Paper - K & Company - Susan Wingate Best of Paper Pad - Sunflowers
Cardstock black, gold and blue - Recollections
Green Cardstock - The Paper Company Vintage Fashion Colors
Busy Title - Cricut Cartridge Create a Critter - 2 in size
Bee - Cricut Cricut Cartridge Create a Critter - 6 in size
Foam Mounting Tape for both title and bee

Many times I lay the pictures directly on the page; which allows more of the page to be shown; but I decided to try something different today.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I hope you enjoyed this basic scrapbook page with the bright colors.

Cricut Cartridge Kate's ABC's - Little girl - U is for Umbrella

I created this scrapbook layout for one of my granddaughter's; which she hasn't seen yet.  It is a surprise to be given in May.

It is very bright paper; but it matched the colors recommened for the little girl.  I love bright bold colors.  The paper is from K & Company, Susan Wingate Best of Paper Pad.  The cardstock is Recollections.  The little girl, phrase and letters are from Cricut Cartridge Kate's ABC's; which I love and use all the time.

This is the cut out with the phrase before placing it on the colored paper.  It looks brighter when placed on matching paper.  I love all the little girls and the phrases on this cartridge.  I also love the font I used for Lana at the top of the page.

Here is the completed page.  Placing pictures on the page takes away some of the brightness.  I had to get permission from my daughter to post this on my blog.

Keep your memories through scrapbooking so the entire family can enjoy them.
I hope you enjoyed this scrapbook layout.  Your comments are welcome.

Jinger Adams Design Team Call - Birthday Card Entry

I was so excited when I heard about Jinger Adams design team call that I couldn't sleep.  Jinger is launching her own product line.  This will be my first posting of my work; so I am excited about my entry.  It would be such an honor to be part of her design team.  I love to create and would love the challenge of creating something new with her products every month.  The deadline is March 31, 2012 for anyone who wants to enter.  The link to enter is:  http://www.thescrapbookingqueen.com.

The requirements are to make something new for your entry.  I decided to make this cute card for my granddaughter's 13th birthday coming in August and I wanted it to demonstrate all the fun things she would be shopping for and using as a teenager.  I had so much fun making this card for my entry.   I just hope my granddaughter doesn't see this before her birthday.

Supplies used for this card:

Card size - 6 1/2 X 5
Card stock - Purple, hot pink on white background - The Paper Company and Recollections
Paper for both outside and inside - Recollections "All American Girl"
Happy Birthday stamp outside - My Acrylix "Celebration" set from Close to My Heart
Embossing Powder - Recollections #188574 (hot pink)
Purple Shoes and Words inside - Cricut Cartridge Wall Decor and More
Lipstick tubes, Abigail and 13 - Cricut Cartridge Kate's ABC's
Bling - Want2scrap.com
Happy Birthday inside - Cricut Cartridge Create a Critter
Foam mounting tape for shoes, lipstick and the little white card they are attached.

Wish me luck.  I can't wait to see who they pick for Jinger's design team.  Good luck to everyone who is entering this design team call.  I am sure it will be a great experience. Thanks so much Jinger for this wonderful opportunity to work with you and your new product line.  Good luck to Jinger and may it be a huge success.

Welcome to my blog

I decided to start this blog so I have a place to share my creations. I have enjoyed following other crafter's blogs and feel they have had a big influence on my life. I would love to share my knowledge with other's and maybe make a difference in someone's life as all of you bloggers have done in mine.

I plan to share my scrapbooking, cardmaking, tips, and other topics that you might enjoy. I am not sure exactly how this works so please be patient as I create my blog and get things started. I am sure there is a learning curve to this and hopefully I am a fast learner.

Enjoy your time here. I welcome any and all comments.
